feel like i'm gonna get banned for my post in the other thread but maybe that's because i never speak out, but by any means, this is bullshit, we all know its bullshit. beef you are taking this great, but we all know this is fucking bullshit.

this is bull shit.

veggies lame-ass pearl-clutching while also being vaguely threatening excuse for a "mod response" is fucking pathetic. Its embarrassing.

at the end of the day it all comes back to it

fuck this lame ass shit. it's not chill at all and Im genuinely butthurt over that response, I do not fuck with the "my way or the highway" mentality and I dont give a fuck there aren't a dozen different shroomery's to choose from. at the end of the day this site is getting ad revenue from me chatting about my felonious hobbies, it is in my direct best interest to fuck off from this place and never return, as it really is for all of us. do I want to do that? no, obviously, humans are pack animals and this little anonymous online resort is the only place  we get to be drug nerds and ham it up without constantly checking over our shoulder. that said, I was always the type to call someone on their bluff. They want to do stupid shit in the name  of keeping the forum "pure" good job I'm NOT posting another fucking word in mushcult until this dipshit decision is acknowledged for exactly the fucking idiocracy it is. I don't drink anymore and i've had some drinks tonight so i'm close to the surface i reckon but fuck man, veggies response to realityglitch saying it was appalling that SHE posted the fucking screenshots there... how fucking unlikeable can you get. jesus fucking christ. Thats the type of behaviour I spit on, real back of the throat loogie to their fucking face, thats how I feel. I love the internet for it's natural ability to let wit shine but also lament it for the fact that people say things they would never dare to if they were actually in a room with half of us. maybe its the privelage of being a giant but my temper can not stand when authority is weaponized and those that cannot be touched behave smug and indignant, its what puts me in trouble

I get enough double-speak from politicians, last place I wanted it from was shroomery mods.

If they had just said "Someone made a stink and the mods ruled against the thread" I could at least respect the mods. Giving a bunch of thinly-veiled excuses that can be seen through easier than wet toilet paper makes it insulting.

I have a saying "If someone lies to you, they force you to become the asshole or the idiot". Most people aren't good at lying, and when you see through it you have to decide if you want to be the asshole and call them on their BS, or decide if it's not worth the effort and become the idiot.

Also, the response to Reality's post had a strong air of victim blaming IMO. It gives off "Why would you get drunk at a frat party" vibes.

Not really a fan of the decision to move it. This thread was and is the core community of mushcult. This is the gathering place for muchcult to talk about whatever we want with the people we relate to without absolute degenerate behavior and offputting word vomit. Its the first thread a new cultivator finds community in outside of their research. Its not gone forever, maybe its the new speakeasy. The corner of the shroomery not readily publicized but invite by word of mouth.

I think its a bold distasteful move. Taking the core of mushcult's community and moving it away from mishcult.

Contrary to what you may think, neither OTD nor lawyers had anything to do with the moving of this thread.

My deepest empathy goes out to members of this community who feel as though something they hold dear has been relegated to some dark corner as if it were an embarrassment.  I have been in this very same position, and I do not wish that on anyone.

If it is any condolence, keep in mind that the decision was made by MC staff and made in the best interests of the forum and the site.  I'm confident that  all who participated in the decision wish to see this thread and MC continue to thrive.

A couple questions arose in my head. Let's say everything goes tits up tomorrow and the Shroomery is suddenly gone. Has any of it been backed up for posterity and to ensure that the wealth of cultivating expertise doesn't disappear? Are there other relevant shroom communities out there? I've never even looked because I just found the Shroomery and saw the Shroomery was good.
All this just reminded me that despite its venerable age, the Shroomery isn't necessarily eternal and can be ruined by very few people.
