I have been learning I need to feel uncomfortable sometimes and just power through it. alot of what i did in addiction was avoidance and replacement/seeking and its hard to break out of that cycle. whether its depresso, addiction, physical, w/e. only you know what your limits are and how to take care of yourself. i took a day off last week just because. sometimes ya need it.

I took another day off. At least I know now it's not depression in the true sense.

I probably should have worked. But also.

Autistic burn out is real. I'm on the spectrum myself. We really can't handle stress like everyone else can. If I do "too many" things in a day, I feel emotionally exhausted.

Thanks everyone. I'm really wanting to work tomorrow. I was gonna work today and just push through it. I couldn't face talking to anyone. Today is day two of saying about 10 words to my housemate only and nobody else. It's definitely the autism lol. It makes me feel miserable tho even tho technically pushing through and being social would actually make it worse.

I went to IKEA on Sunday coz I really wanted to see my mum but it was w bad idea it wore me out

Grocery stores and any kind of shopping stores are the worst. Way too many people and crowds and people not getting the fuck out of your way. And too many sounds.

You should get into histology. It is a healthcare field and a subfield within pathology. Absolutely no customer service. You just embed tissue samples in paraffin wax and then cut the tissue embedded wax using a microtome and put it on a microscope slide. There's also staining of the slide afterwards which gives it color and enables the pathologist to see the individual cells.

To put it simply, histologists make microscope slides for pathologists. A doctor will do a surgery or a biopsy or something, put the tissue in some formalin and send it off to a reference lab or histology department of the hospital they work at, the histologists process the tissue with alcohol and xylene and then embed it in paraffin and then make super thin micrometer sections and put them onto a glass slide. They then get stained to add color so the pathologist can see everything.

I got into histology because I was completely burned out with massage therapy and desperately wanted to get out. I fucking hate customer service and customers can kiss my ass. After my prerequisites were done it was a one-year full-time program at the University. My FAFSA paid for the whole thing. I work night shifts and my base rate is $25.50 but with the night differential it's 15% more which makes it $29.32 an hour so I easily make 60,000 a year before taxes.

It's not uncommon to see someone you don't know who came back from vacation and then they talk about their vacation in the Philippines or whatever. I've been working there a few weeks now and some dude came into our lab and started working on a microtome and everyone welcomed him and asked him about his vacation and he was in the Philippines and Korea. Various other people go on vacations.

One job interviewer told my contact, she could imagine me building Frankenstein's monster.

So, I threatened a dnr with resuscitating them, against their will.

Yeah if he was better I truly wouldn’t care. And just to be clear it’s his house so he can do whatever he wants. I’m mostly annoyed that he refuses to improve his chops.

Thank you.
Down the track I might need to find something less customer service. When I'm not burnt out I'm good. But when I'm burnt out I take all the time off. This week I took the whole week off. You can move around in different roles in this job so I'm hoping I can do that after a while.

Debating whether I tell them about the autism. It might give me more leeway

Nuh that's bullshit. Just coz it's his house doesn't mean he gets to do annoying shit. Unless he said he drums when you moved in.

My idiot ex housemate was the same acted like she could get away with murder just because she owned the house. Technically she could kick me out for complaining but it didn't mean I wasn't allowed to say I wasn't happy and that it needs to change it whe wants me to stay

Whelp.  Replacing the battery on my laptop didn't fix it randomly restarting when being put into sleep mode.  Hoping the whole "battery control crap reset" thingie fucking sticks, because I'm actually at a loss as to what to do if this is fucked.

I don't have the money to replace the son of a bitch, not by a longshot.  I NEED it to keep on trucking until I got fuckin cash, again.

I agree. "His" house yet he still needs a roommate to pay his rent. If it was truly "his" house he'd be able to pay rent on his own. He still needs to be considerate of people living with him.
