As a lily among thorns, etc. (Codex S.L. 2,  χ). ‘What does the lily symbolise?'

lt happened as
the Pistis Sophia was in the thirteenth aeon in the place
of all her brethren, the invisible ones who are the 24 ema-
nations of the great invisible one - it happened now,
through the ordinance of the First Mystery, the Pistis Sophia
looked to the height, she saw the light of the veil of the
Treasury of the Light, and she desired to go to that p/ace.
And she was not able to go to that p/ace. Moreover shc
ceased performing the mystery of the thirteenth aeon, but
she sang praises to the light of the height which she saw in
the light of the veil of the Treasury of the Light.
Now it happened, as she sang praises to the place of the
height, all the archons which are in I the twelve aeons beneath hated her because she ceased from their mystery,
and because she wished to go to the height and to make
herself above them all. Now on account of these things
they were angry with her, and they hated her. And the great
triple-powered Authades- the third triple-powered one who
is in the thirteenth aeon, who had been disobedient - had
not emanated all that was purified of his inner power, nor
had he given what was purified of his light at the time when
the archons had given their purification, and he had wished
to be Iord over the whole thirteenth aeon and those beneath
it. Now it happened when the archons of the thirteenth
aeon were angry at the Pistis Sophia, who was above them,
they hated her greatly. And the great triple-powered Au-
thades, about whom I have just been speaking to you now,
was also included among the archons of the twelve aeons,
and he also was angry at the Pistis Sophia, and he hated
her greatly, because she thought to go to the light which
was above him. Arid he emanated from within hirnself
a great lion-faced power. And from out of the matter within
him, he emanated forth a further multitude of material
emanations which were very powerful. And he sent them
to the places below, to the parts of the Chaos, so that they
should pursue the Pistis Sophia there and take her power
from her, because she thought to go to the height which Iis above them all, and because she ceased to perform their
mystery, but she remained sorrowing, seeking the light which
she saw. And the archons which continued or persisted in
performing the mystery hated her. And all the watchers
which were at the gates of the aeons also hated her.
It happened now after this, through the ordinance of the
first ordinance, the great triple-powered Authades, who is
one of the three trip/e-powered ones, persecuted the Sophia
in the thirteenth aeon, so that she should Iook at the parts
below, so that she should see in that place bis light power,
which has a lion-face, and she should desire it, and come
to that place, and her light would be taken from her

Their visage is as the look of lightning, and their limit has no edge. His Word is in them, running and returning. By His word they pursue like a whirlwind; before His throne they bow.

Keep your mouth from speaking and your heart from conceiving. If your heart should run, return to the place of which is said "running and returning". Upon this matter the covenant was cut

I take little credit for the treasure of human knowledge already existent, I refer you to Werner Herzogs thoughts about psychoanalysis about your reaction to gnostic literature...

Considering the consistency of the Peano Arithmetic and the geometry of the absolute galois group, define the necessary existence as a line operator on such a curve or as a connection on a metric

Quote:
Mon cher Ami,

xk,l,mldotsquadxak+bl+cm+cdots+f,a1k+b1l+c1m+cdots+g,ldots,ldots

xkquadxfracak+bck+d.

"  Sophia, the last of the divine aeons, desired to bring forth something by herself, without the consent of the Spirit and without her consort. What came forth was imperfect and unlike her: a being with the face of a lion and the body of a serpent.

Sophia cast him away from the divine realm and surrounded him with a luminous cloud, so that none of the immortals would see him. She named him Yaldabaoth.

When he saw the creation around him, he became arrogant. Because of the power that had come from his mother, he produced authorities for himself. He created twelve rulers, assigning each one a region of the heavens.

He divided the heavens among them and gave them portions of his fiery power, but he withheld from them the power of the light that had come from Sophia. Thus their realm became neither wholly dark nor wholly bright, but dim.

Yaldabaoth then proclaimed, "I am God, and there is no god besides me." But his mother Sophia heard this and repented of what she had done.

The divine realm looked down upon the lower world. A voice came from above, saying, "The Human exists, and the Son of Humanity." The rulers heard the voice but did not understand its source. They saw the luminous image of the heavenly Human reflected in the waters and said, "Come, let us create a human according to the image of God."

They fashioned a body, but it remained lifeless. Then the powers above devised a plan. They caused Yaldabaoth to breathe into the body the power he had received from his mother. When he breathed into Adam, the light passed from him into Adam, and Adam became living, intelligent, and superior to his creators.

The rulers then became jealous. They saw that Adam possessed understanding greater than theirs, and they cast him into the lowest region of matter. They attempted to bind him, but the power from above remained within him.    "

In the Pistis Sophia, Sophia is already inside a structured but inferior cosmic system, recognizes that it is not her true home, turns toward the higher Light, and is punished by the powers whose authority she has ceased to acknowledge. Pistis Sophia never gives us a fully satisfying prior account of why she was in that realm in the first place. It says that she is in the thirteenth aeon, but the text does not develop a myth as architecturally clear as the Apocryphon of John’s account of Sophia's desire, the birth of Yaldabaoth, and the construction of the archontic cosmos. As a result, the thirteenth aeon can seem like an already given flawed environment.

Pistis Sophia treats the archons less as the original creators of imperfection and more as the custodians of an already inferior order. Their evil consists in enforcing that order as ultimate, especially when Sophia has recognized that something higher exists. The texts central conflict is not primarily creation versus creator, it is lower cosmic obligation versus transcendent homesickness.

In the Apocryphon of John, the Pleroma is not made up of archons as they belong to a much lower order in the deficient creation, they are outside of the divine as would be indicated by the archons behavior. The archons do not see the Pleroma because they are ignorant of the higher divinity. Sophia can see it because she comes from it, and it is not simply a higher district within the same cosmic bureaucracy. It is the fullness that the archons cannot understand and can ever dream to imitate.

My concern about the Pistis Sophia is that it could transform gnosis into an ambiguous initiatory system. Its mysteries appear to lead beyond the archons, but because they are mediated through a hierarchy of powers, formulas, and cosmic permissions, they may reproduce the archontic structure in religious form while embedding archontic hooks into the mind space.

Christ's mystery may be deep, but it is not deceptive and is stated very plainly and clearly. Its depth concerns the inexhaustibility of love, rather than the concealment of arbitrary conditions.

The clearest formulation is "God is love" in 1 John 4:8 and 4:16. Jesus teachings reinforce it through the two great commandments which all other commandment are hinged upon; the love of God and the love of thy neighbor. While on the surface it might seem unlike a mystery, but the gnosis of unbiased love that it leads to is quite profound and is documented in pretty much every relevant religion/practice in some form.
