The Shroomery only allows people who are 18 years or older.
"If" somebody was younger then 18 they would only be able to remain a member if they didn't post there age. :wink:
It's not like we go looking for minors ,but when somebody posts they are below 18 years of age it leaves no choice to the staff.

Gawk is a 13 year old dude living in Ohio. He was really distressed recently and wrote up a cry for help. I can't find the thread though.

I think he probably told a doctor he was suicidal. In that case, it is mandatory that the doctor has you locked so you can't and won't do any harm to yourself. Usually it's a week. We might not see him for a while.

I felt bad for the kid, he's a cool dude.

He can play guitar, he says he can do it well. His parents are verbally abusive towards him and I think they are physically abusive too, but he only hinted to that.

It really isn't fair what some people have handed to them. If you're born to the wrong person, you have the possiblility of getting abused. It really is sad.

This is so true. The sad thing is that it's fairly commen. Children should be treated like the jewels they are. Seeing a child abused in anyway is one of the most horrific things imaginable.

chinacat i understand that rule. but obviously the kid didnt know where else to turn and he was seeking help because he was going to fucking kill himself. and you assholes go and ban him, what kind of fucked up shit is that.....if he he does end up doing it i hope you all are haunted in your dreams and waking life for the rest of your life.

i was once real depresed too
and i was thinking of suicide, i just never told anyone and eventualy got over it
it happened to me when i was about 13 too
i hope he works grows out of it too
