"Carpetbagger" is a slur.

Seriously, you don't know what its like to be constantly assaulted by gawking liberals with invasive questions about genital surgery, they treat you like a zoo animal.

Doctors have been called sexist for telling women that it is getting late to have a baby when they are on their thirties so facts and the opinion of medical proffesionals can apprrently be hateful.

Thirties is not that late. Fourties is when it starts getting late. Back when birth control didn't exist, a lot of women continued having children all the way up until menopause (in their 40's and 50's). I personally know two women who had babies in their mid-40's, amazingly. Natural births too, no C-section.

I said its "getting late" of course some women have babies in their fourties. Many women cant. So the doctor doesnt assume shes one of the women who can have babies in their fourties. the docotr will give them a heads up because it wouldnt be strange if they experienced fertility problems in their fourties.

I dont doubt that you personally know women who have had babies in their late fourties. Thats anecdotal evidence. Lots of women wouldnt be able to do that or would wind up spending a ton of money on fertility treatments. I know someone who had a baby recently and they are in their fourties. They had one miscarriage first though.

Maybe it's their way of showing their acceptance of you. By showing you that they are not 'fazed' in any way, by your, lets face it, obvious transgendersexualitylisation, or WTF you choose to call it, is their attempt at showing their acceptance of your 'type', that caused your discomfort.
Maybe these same sort of people ask gay guys if they prefer to be "tops or bottoms" like, as if that was a were totaly normal question to ask. By way of recognition and acceptance.

No shit, Sherlock. That doesn't change it from being misguided and offensive. How would you like it if people asked you, unbidden, when you plan on getting your penis chopped off, every time you discuss your past? It's fucking revolting.

Also fuck you for the insults you slipped into a superficially friendly post. You think you're so fucking clever, and all your friends can see how "accepting" and "open-minded" you are, even as you trivialize my existence and verbally abuse me. Thank you for such an apt demonstration of the type of behavior I left California to get away from.

It does, but that shit is ignorant and intolerable at any time of the month.

How did they even know that you were trans? I thought you passed pretty easily as a female?

That was like 3 months into HRT, when I was partly feminized but still basically masculine in my appearance, and I had a deep bass voice.
...

This is pushing into kind of unnecessary territory on my part,
but did/have you been taking vocal lessons
or has your experience with HRT been that it helps in this regard too

Growing up in a small town meant that prior to junior high
my class was made up of about 6 people
and my voice dropped before anyone else's in my grade, or the grade above me
and kids acting like they couldn't understand me
saying my voice was being drowned out by the sound of a motor boat
tended me to be more withdrawn
and try to express myself through writing rather than speech

but kids will target anyone for anything they can

have even looked into vocal chord surgeries a bit
but, at present, was only able to find services in the US and South Korea
so Canadian healthcare won't prospectively provide coverage until a clinic exists within the country

:blowmybrainsout:

But since this thread is about transracialism
the elephant in the room to me
is what are individuals of a mixed background supposed to do
when neither community accepts them as a legitimate member?
Dolezal was arguably fortunate, for a time, that she was so accepted
before being thrown to the public's whims

I had to train my voice every day for a year or two to get it to the point where I can consistently speak to people in public without raising flags and getting odd looks. The hormones do raise the pitch but only slightly, it still sounds masculine without training. It took some hard work. But I'm lucky in that I had a good friend guide me through it instead of having to pay for a speech therapist. I wouldn't get the vocal surgery personally, it seems unnecessary at this point, but i have heard the technique has improved a lot in recent years.

Took me like 5 months to have a passing voice
BUT because i haven't been speaking like this for years it
fails either at
A: Toward the end of the day and
B: Around safe spaces
I call it Setbacks from feeling comfortable.

However it is still a year or two away from being my natural voice.

As far as vocal surgiers go, imo Yeson in Korea is the only person worth a damn, price is 7800 bucks, and you cant talk for a month. And this just raises pitch, doesn't effect resonance. I personally think vocal Surgery is for the weak and lazy and the too proud.
