How is it going everyone? * 19

I've been MIA for awhile because my life crashed and burned as the result of 7oh. It completely took me back to the fentanyl days. I finally went to a detox center in portland that got me sent to atlas treatment. I am now at an intensive outpatient program along with a sober living house. I have quit everything including weed and am only 6 days clean. Im really leaning into the program this time, i got a sponsor and am working the steps. These are things I thought id never post about but I miss my shroomery family and wanted to check in. I am so sorry for my behaviors these past couple years and all the lies and selfishness I exuded. If I hurt any of you just know i am deeply deeply sorry. I was full of shit. Literally and figuratively.


Love you all so much and I'll be around the forums again

Welcome back buddy, always glad to see ya. Glad to hear you are getting some help too. Addiction to anything is brutal. I have been attending AA since 2010 but do seldomly attend these days. Coming up on 5 years off booze and stims. Had some relapses. I spent a year in a sober living facility after my last go which was great, really helpful. :heart:

I never felt good sober untill I stopped eating junkfood, but I guess not everyone is like that cause my friend eats almost only junkfood and she has been sober almost a decade longer then me

Good on ya for gettin sober, dude.  Addiction played a big part in takin' my dad and uncle from me (mostly opioids, but my uncle was also an alcoholic most of his life), so I'm always happy to hear folks actually managing to get off awful shit.  Just remember to not beat yourself up if ya stumble.  Much as it sucks, it's part of bein' human.  Just dust yourself off and take note of what made it happen so you can avoid it in future.

Beatin' an addiction's a learning process just like anything else.  And kindness makes learning a hell of a lot easier.

I'd also like to clarify that im not taking psychedelics anymore and am not seeking alternatives to escape my disposition. I am for once trying to integrate what these entheogens have been pointing at this whole time which is complete surrender. I know in the past when ive boasted about sobriety all I did was eat mushrooms everyday or smoke DMT. this might work for some and I still deeply respect and love these medicines but I had to take a hard look at myself and the way I was using them was very much how id abuse anything else and I found myself wanting to be out of my body more than in it using high doses of psychedelics.

Trataka or fire kasana is pretty cool alternative to drugs IMO,  you see the after glow negative of the candle tip, and then it turns into a red dot, which turns into a blackdot

Fire kasana you are supposed to start hallucinating, after the black.dot but I dunno if I believe the stories, well I believe them but I think the people secretly took acid before doing it, but people go on retreats where they do.fire kasana for 12 hours a day, and they report what sounds like acid hallucinations

I've never gotten a hallucination, but I've never done it longer then 20 or 30 minutes, most of the time I give up even before the black dot vanishes, but a few times I've out meditated the dot

You also don't need a flame, you can use yantra or unalome which is trippy because you see the ynatra in full when you close your eyes, but it vanishes quickly unlike.the candle which stays for a long time
