Soooooo nice....

That smell.... Brought me right back.

Ovoids, cubes, ATL7, all smell somewhat similar but have their own unique over and undertones, the unique smell of Galindoi....

Aw man, just bought a ticket to see Dom Dolla. Happened upon a $75 ticket on a resale site (legit, I've bought from them before). Right up at the back. Doesn't worry me. I just love a good atmosphere, light show and a top DJ. He's so kick ass.

I play a set on tuesday to a bigger crowd than I have for awhile - I'm excited, it's a particularly dancey crew, with basically no one standing around not dancing ... ftw (hate that shit :lol:)

Y'all, just read over my new contract. I get an extra week of annual leave apparently, plus extra pay for being masters level trained (although this extra pay might have been factored into my base pay).

Lol. I was getting $33 an hour casual at one nursing job. I told them I didn't like it and they answered I had agreed to it in their contract. Pretty sure it was less than minimum nursing wage once you factor out the casual loading.

Gonna be rolling in it. (I'll be getting about double what I've gotten used to getting since graduating as a nurse). Fuck man I really hope this works out for me :smile:

There's also another randomly cool perk but I can't say what it is or I'll doxx my workplace but it's basically getting paid to do something I already do on my own time.

Nursing stresses me the fuck out but ill never be outta a job and it sure beats flogging dildos to 18 - 80 year Olds

OPT: and this is a big one for me even if it doesn't sound it.

I spoke to the owner of my yoga studio today. She's really cool. I had just been to one of her classes

There's another instructor who I quite like but she uses these little tokens with a happy face and a cross on either side. She uses them for us to indicate whether we want to be manually adjusted (touched) during the class (happy) or not (cross). The first time I went to her class I didn't know what the token was and didn't touch it. I noticed her going around and touching others without first asking if she can and it freaked me out and I was tense the whole class waiting for her to come up and adjust me without saying anything (I have some trauma in relation to this that's caused PTSD so I was not too keen). Anyway after that class the owner came up and saw me looking at the token funny and she explained what it was. Fast forward and the next class I went to with the instructor that uses the token put it down in front of me and I had to stop her and ask her what it was for again and which side meant what. She explained it to me.

Today, I brought up with the owner that I really think this other instructor needs to verbally remind everyone what it is for at the beginning of the class. As far as an indicator of consent goes it ain't enough unless people using it are aware of what it's for. I said it politely and just explained that it's overwhelming for some people to be touched and the tokens aren't clear what they are. I said I think they're a great idea they just need to be communicated. The owner was receptive and agreed and said she has even spoke to the instructor about it before.

I'm going to say to the instructor at the next class I go to that I will have it on the cross (as in no touch please) but even if I have it as for touching I still need her to ask before she does.

Setting this kind of boundary is really fucking big for me so I'm really happy. Also giving constructive feedback is also very huge for me. I have given feedback 4 times in the past month and it's really feeling good.

So yeah I'm really happy.

I'm a clinic nurse, ambulatory care. Was in pain management. My job consists of ear flushes, immunizations, some wound care, take stitches out, vitals, intake info etc. No weekends ever, days only, and the 6 major holidays (paid) off a year. Very low stress (for me) :grin:

I did the same! We call it practice nursing.
It is pretty low stress. I still got stressed but that's from previously undiagnosed autism and aDHd

Hell yeah love the 9-5 life. Im gonna miss that at this new job. I think it's 1 or 2 weekends every 8 weeks. Still better than my sex shop job which was EVERY weekend

Oh something positive that happened to me today ? I woke up and im alive and well ,each day I count my little blessings as simple and common as they might be the things that come for free are the most valuable 😁,such as health,friends,love,good neighbours ,no social media apart from this website that is a nice world on its own for the last several years of my life
