Haha I didn't believe you so I googled it and yep you're right. Seeing as I did 90% of my lessons with an instructor I'ma blame them for teaching me wrong


i hope you don't think i was having a go at you and it's not "wrong" to give way to the right
it's what most people do (me included) otherwise there would be multiple accidents at every roundabout every day
goes back to when they were first introduced and our parents applied the crossroad with no traffic lights rule (give way to the right) - i remember the first in best dressed TV ads as a kid which seemed to confuse the adults at the time

the 4/5 way roundabouts usually sort themselves out and generally flow ok

the nasty issue is the T intersection roundabouts (3 way) which shouldn't exist

one direction of the through traffic can't possibly ever have traffic on the right and the majority treat the roundabout like a through road giving way to nobody - if it's busy traffic across the top of the T and you're on the leg of the T you can be stuck at the roundabout "giving way to the right" all day

my sisters aus' ex-husbands family got pulled over so many times in their brief stay in the states lmao

for that matter I very much doubt I could totally reverse my muscle memory, eventually I'd fuck up - especially with any tiny bit of inebriation
