Help ID'ing this conk

I've been collecting these (dead of course) From my woods up in Maine. They come off a yellow birch.

Help me id it? this is by far the biggest one i've ever found. usually they're more like a softball size.

I THINK its

(Fomes fomentarius).

heres the underside

I'm thinking of making a lamp from this one... if you can dig that concept.
