The top two don’t look special but the graft is a very special plant called Manawatu meltdown us2 that I don’t think has been released in the US and the second is AD001 from the Chavín de Huántar grounds. The stand there has sadly since been removed.

In my experience it isn’t the cactus itself they want but the water in them. Put out a bowl of water and it might ward them off:

The first two are my first ever seedlings. I had a smaller one, but it just shriveled up for some reason. It sucked cause it was actually looking really healthy.






Chalas looking damn good imo after having to be decapitated. I didn’t expect it to get so girthy after the chop and with how skinny it initially was.


Finally getting some new growth on the crested pach. I can’t wait to see how it looks after it really opens up. It’s so slow though man haha

Just chopped 12 of my biggest ones. Selling the tops and using the middles for ya know.
The box with the middles is 18in.

My unknown non-PC flowers are getting closer and closer to blooming. I'm going on vacation soon so I hope I don't miss them.

I honestly am not sure what I did to get it to bloom. I am unsure of age though it appears to be a few years old at least, I got it about a year ago off FB for a great deal. It lives outside year round and we have just had a month of consistent warm weather. I water it when I can remember and this summer is the first time its pushed flower buds.

I mostly feed it just water, with occasional light feeding of miracle gro organic liquid food thats 1.5-0.5-1.

Edit: I'm just now in a house more permanently and in a great location for year round growing so I'm working to get more of my potted trichs into the ground.

While I was out with camera. This tray is what's got me excited right now. Several crests already showing. A few 4 winds. Some cool red spined. I have been digging the red spines lately

Opuntia humifusa I accidentally ripped out harvesting some fruits last fall, put the pad in a pot and let it overwinter. Two fresh pads in the spring, hopefully I can get some flowers next season!

Just updated my post, but all my bridgesii are clones from Sacred Succulents, maybe SS01? I’d have to take a look and see if have any info on those.

So I took a look in my records and all of my bridgesii are unnamed  “different mother clones from a large lot of seed I started in the late 90s”- as per Sacred Succulents
