Re: Silver is under $18 an oz invest or not?? [Re: Loaded Shaman] * 1

incredible how everyone i know has told me not to invest in silver, and yet that is the only investment i've had that has only increased in value without ever dropping!

i'm hesitant to get more silver buillion until the price somehow goes down, but i'm wondering if it'd be a good idea to get some more junk silver.

I still don't think we'll see $30.

I would bet my life on it

Edit:

To qualify such a statement somewhat

I am coming around to the idea the metals cycle is over. Languishing prices for a long time are what I am expecting

Silver ended up almost 5x cost of production at the peak in January. There is no possible way it surpasses that after reaching that and breaking

When a commodity breaks, it fully breaks back down to cost of production, or even below. Think natural gas in 2022-> 2024. It goes right to the bottom. It is then you will see widespread hatred in terms of sentiment. There is still hope right now.

Industrial demand is going away, companies that did solar are now shifting to battery storage tech

Above all else... silver tarnishes  I'm serious though. It's literally the worst metal to hold.

Gold, platinum, palladium are the ones to hold. Even still, from these levels, it doesn't look good. Gold got to ~3.75 x cost of production, and if you assume it compounds at 7% per year on average, it reached the price it should have been in 2038 this January. Too much, way too fast.

Palladium under $1000 would be the one to buy and hold for the long term IMO. Palladium being the one closest to its all in sustaining costs of production at the moment, which i have around $835-$950 USD/oz

Exactly. Believing otherwise is like believing prices are ever going to come down. Things only move in one direction, always have, always will.

People waiting for a crash usually don't have the spare powder to make a dent in falling assets anyway. Ever notice that?

Oh I mean that silver is definitely seeing $30 again. No question in my mind. Sorry for any confusion

No worries lol.

I still say it's not going to drop to those levels unless the entire economy eats it, and then it won't really matter anyway after a point.

I'm also one of the rare few that will be glad to be wrong and be the first to admit I was wrong should shit switch up!

Real rates on the rise does not help precious metals either

Everyone can place their bets in real time, the score gets settled externally

Thanks for hearing me out

I look at the brass tacks; the further we get away from 1971-1973 when they removed us from the gold standard (having a standard at all is vital here, you can argue of what etc.) it's going to objectively get worse for the average person, and better for corps and private equity firms lol.

The Fed Reserve is a false-front, used by the elite to merely adjust interest rates as their fiat scam economy sees fit.

If they allow silver to hit $30, way more sinister shit is being engineered behind the curtain and that's why I say despite not feeling it will hit that, I remain open to anything after the "pandemic" "response" from our government, etc.

I have no argument against the notion that precious metals protect against government silliness

Silver however will go to $30 based on it's industrial demand (waning) and supply situation (over supply)

No government shenanigans necessary

Gold is a different story, it being a monetary metal

Precious metals purchased at a reasonable price can be viewed akin to a savings account IMO
