First Outdoor Grow Prep - Are These Popcorn Jars Ready for Shake? (Pics)
    #29589686 -

Hey everyone,

This is my first post here since I tried growing when I was 15 in Canada (many years ago lol). Back at it again from Jerusalem, Israel.

Don’t want to get into politics, but it feels like this place could really use some mushrooms ✌️

I ordered an Ecuador print. It was a very complicated process dealing with customs — Israeli customs opened the sealed bag and everything 👿 — but I finally got it.

I made a still air box and dropped spores into pressure-cooked liquid culture. Then used that LC to inoculate several jars (mostly jam/food jars since Mason jars are hard to find here).

Main question: Are these jars ready to shake?

They have nice white growth and some rhizomorphic sections, but still quite a bit of uncolonized grain visible. I’m hoping to use this as spawn for an outdoor patch soon.

Also looking for thoughts on an outdoor setup:
There’s a desert/valley area about 5 minutes from my apartment with lots of gazelles.

I see big piles of small dung pellets all over the paths. Has anyone used sun-baked wild herbivore dung (like gazelle) successfully in outdoor beds?

And can I substitute local dry grass for straw as the bulk substrate?
Any advice on timing the shake?

Thanks in advance and Much

Update progress, ungulate dung [Re: MushroomsKnow]
    #29594831 -

So I did more research and decided the jars were ready to shake so I did.

I noticed they seemed a little dry so I put more liquid culture in each jar.

They seem to being doing well, very surprised to be honest!

The next step is to set up a stealthy outdoor bed.

I will be collecting sun baked antelope dung from a valley near my apartment.

I will use dry grass in place of straw.

Also noticed the lc floated to the top?

Stealth Outdoor Patch completed! [Re: MushroomsKnow]

All the jars fully colonized except the big one!

So all minus the large one where crumbled into the out door patch.

So I dug a six inch bed not so big behind the rose bush in the corner ( as stealth as possible) use more straw poo technique.

I went to the now desert valley near my house where there are many mountain gazelles I collected far more dung then required.

Also collected a lot of dried straw like grass.

Both were pasteurized. So the patch is in place stealthily and the conditions here in Jerusalem pisgat Ze’ev seem to be ideal. So hopefully the results will be good.

I also thought you guys might be interested in our other sacred plants. I’m the mushroom guy mainly but my roommate is a cacti guy.

So yeah he’s even successfully grafted a peyote to a San Pedro which in the photos you see many different strains of San Pedro of varying potency.

Some are mutant strains that are supposed to be extremely potent.

I have not personally experienced mescaline yet, for me the mushroom seems to provide the healing I require.

Although my roommate is encouraging me to try some soon but he’s running out of cacti lol.

Anyways love you guys!
