As a noob myself, I'll miss piggy. He answered questions when no one else did, dispensed wisdom freely and while sometimes grumpy, never cruel or fake. That's what I call a cool dude.

I go on long walks through the woods but I leave my phone behind. I need to start bringing a camera perhaps but man, there are very beautiful woods out there. Areas with lots of dead trees are the best parts of the forest.

My life would instantly improve if I cut the cord on my phone. I really want to move to bfe and have a little land and a little house with a big garden and a big heart. My wife would like that as well. But we are torn on my daughter not getting exposure to other kids.

For what It's worth, for every argumentative idiot you encounter, there are surely dozens or even hundreds of people - both posters and passive lurkers - learning from your posts. Just because you didn't convince someone who turned off their critical thinking circuits (or never developed them in the first place) doesn't mean you haven't saved a bunch of other people a lot of time and/or money going down a path that will not give them consistent results.

But you can pry my Chinese FFU from my cold, dead hands. :lol:

Anyone else feel as though their call to life, to symbiosis with the planet, is constantly under attack by society's wants and needs?

Yeah, that's pretty much life in a nutshell. What you want is rarely something that will allow you to exist in society.

I've been plotting my escape - got some land in the mountains, just need enough $ to build a house there and semi-retire. I'll probably have to find a source of income once I'm there, but you can bet your ass it won't be an IT job.
