Fuck you guys with Spring already. I’m tired of snow. I kid, I kid. It’s good to see some green even if it’s not here yet. Winter does have a few things going for it, though.

Let's trade no takebacksies.  Climate change has fucking wrecked winter where I live, it didn't even snow once this year.  Mostly in the 50s-60s when it should have been 30s.  I would do very bad things to be able to sit in a lawn chair in the snow reducing some sap for syrup and sugar.  I can feel how crisp that is like I am there right now, and I can smell the syrup.

Thanks for the reminder though, these big leaf maples are probably flowing right now and if I were smart I'd dig out my taps and hotel pans.  Big leaf maple has a spicier syrup than sugar maples, I'm not sure which type I like more but I enjoy the variety.

No deal. I need my snow. If you ever need I always have an extra chair by the fire.

I’ve heard good things about big leaf syrup. All I have on my property are red maple. Takes a bit more sap then sugar maple, but it’s still delicious.

After a very fun weekend, I had to share this with you guys! Our close friends made these for us on their laser printer. They not only glow in black light, but after being UV charged they glow in the dark!

We're in what I think is "pretend spring" here. 80 degrees yesterday and gorgeous. But I fear it's a fakeout and we're in for more chill and hopefully rain. If this is real spring, it's gonna be a horrible summer and fire season.

We're in our 2nd winter here. 3rd winter really gets you down.

I don't consider it spring until my windshield gets covered in bug guts.

Big leaf maple also takes about 2X what a sugar maple does.  Box elder is one I've never had the pleasure of trying but it's also a sap producing Acer.

I confess I'm really tired of the forums.

I'm tired of spending hours arguing with reddit morons just to try and get them to stop shooting themselves in the dick.  I'm tired of trying to counter blatant misinformation.  I'm tired of how much of it is just repeating the same shit over and over just to have people flip out that I don't agree with what they think is a novel breakthrough when we see it happen week after week.

I'm just tired of the shroomery and I don't think I'm goin to be around here much anymore.

I'll drop in from time to time, but I have other things to do with my life now.

Best of luck y'all.

Piggy don’t leave! Just stay out of those areas. Or beat the piss out of them with mushboys long dong.

Bro, ya just gotta ignore all the BS. I learned to do that years ago from all the bullshit on FB. I eventually just dropped off that shithole of social media. FB and IG are cesspools.
