Anyone try ketamine therapy? * 1

There is a clinic here in Honolulu that offers ketamine therapy. Its expensive about $3,600 but offer a discount of $2,400 and accepts payment plans.  I'm thinking of trying it for my depression. I'm curious if anyone had any experience and could offer insights.

Don't you have schizophrenia? My ketamine doc won't treat schizophrenics because even in low doses ketamine can be like an instant plunge into psychosis for them that tranquilizers often can't even stop

Ketamine didn't do much for my depression long term. It feels really good while you're on it and every now and then I'd get an afterglow for a day or two but that's about it

I've never seen anyone have good results from it, or from any dissociative for that matter. The dissociatives are for recreational use only IMO.

I've tried ketamine while I had depression. Its probably not the same exact thing but it was pure ketamine. I think it helps about as much as any substance that resets your brain like lsd or shrooms. I remember taking 25inbome and feeling like I had been at a godly spa for a month the day after. That is to say im sure ketamine therapy would help but I doubt it'd be more effective than shrooms.


I just asked my psych about this because he had Deseketamine pamphlets he said that pharmaceutical reps brought those in but hes not interested in making money from me while just addicting me to ketamine and not actually helping me in the long run. Apparently you have to go into the office 3 times a week get 2 squints per nostril and be monitored for 2 hours. That was 1,200$ a month. He said off every bottle he'd make 300$. What i gathered from that was that the people that just have prescribed ketamine sprays they carry around are paying through the nose, no pun intended.


Im still curious about it though. He also thinks that if ssri dont work for you that means your depression isnt severe. Who knows could be true but seems like a convient cop out to me.

I've considered it, I can get ketamine on the clear web in Canada, but I've been hesitant

I'm afraid of not being able to keep to only using it once a month, or maybe snorted won't have the same antidepressive effect as iv

I accidentally swallowed 600mg of ketamine a couple years ago and it was the strongest trip I've had to this day. I dont know how much it helped anything but I came to some conclusions about something really going on behind the veil here as it connected me to different realities that I have also been to in other altered states of consciousness and kind of opened up a rabbit hole for me that turned into an unhealthy obsession with a paradox there is no figuring out.


I certainly didnt drink for a year and 6 months and I credit that to dmt, ketamine and mushrooms.

I've only tried "at home" ketamine therapy, which is absolutely more affordable than clinic-assisted therapy (by an order of magnitude or more).  I haven't ever suffered from legit debilitating depression, so I can't speak to how well it might work toward helping that sort of thing.  But it is a trip, that's for sure!

Keep in mind a fair lot of folks have trouble self moderating their use, so if you're prone to overindulgence, you might be better off skippin' it.  One benefit of the clinic route is that you won't have a stash at home to abuse, and another benefit is that the actual dose is much less due to the route of administration.  With the oral RoA, I take around 200-300mg in a sitting, sometimes incorporating additional 50-100mg doses 15-45 min in to prolong the experience, but that's a lot of material to run through the body on a regular basis, given the known issues it can cause to the urinary tract.  Also to note, if you're new to ketamine, you should begin doses considerably lower, say 50-100mg orally to gauge your body's response.

Which type of ketamine did you have, you can both types in Canada, they are like mirror images of the molecule I think idk I'm not a chemist

But one is supposed to be more psychedelic and one is supposed to be more clinical, I was thinking of getting the less psychedelic one if I'm using it for depression, but I can't say that psychedelics don't help in their own way

The different isomers feel identical to me at k-hole doses. I don't really know about smaller doses since I don't enjoy them much, it's just kind of an empty feeling drunkenness to me that gets a little trippy

Yeah, I honestly have no idea which isomer I received.  And I've dipped into my friend's stash who has procured pharmaceutical ketamine from two other providers.  Between all three providers I've tried, the effect is always comparable, and quite potent.

Yeah i got schizophrenia I overlooked that part at first when I answered their quick survey but I filled it in on the consultation form.  I know it could cause problems I just didn't think of it at first.

I wouldn't go anywhere near it if I was prone to psychosis. There's kinda no telling reality from delusion once you're fully dissociated

Ive also heard that psych meds can blunt the antidepressant effects. I had to interview with a psychiatric nurse practitioner before getting cleared for the treatment
