Possible Destroying Angel?

Is it?

Found growing in forest litter under a Shingle Oak
cap measures 1 3/4 inches
stem measures 2 3/4 inches from base to cap
Spore print-----white

Yes, that is a definate destroying angel. The spore print is white. Good find, don't eat it.

Don't worry about that.I saw this thing from 20 feet away.Thats 2 I have found in my yard in the last week.

Yeah, we've got those everywhere here in VT. Dozens in the horse pasture near my house. As for edibles, I've been picking lots of chanterelles. We found a patch in the woods that was as big as our house's footprint... mmm, I can smell them drying in the oven....

aiy, i asked if you were serious, but i never got a reply . so i wasnt sure, I know better, but still, its not soemthing you joke about? What if some newguy rea that post and decided to eat them based on "they have a great taste" Your lucky i didnt rate you bad.. i was nice, others did it for me :smile:
