Oysters VS angel wings?

What's up shroomery. I have been oyster hunting the same patch for 2 years now. And I think I have oysters and angel wings growing in the same spot. Like intermingled within each other. The mushrooms have a wavy outer perimeter instead of smooth oval like the previous years oysters. Well some are, some aren't. I just wanted your guys' take on it and if you would fry em all up any ways. I've heard mixed things about angel wings. I can provide more pics if necessary. Thanks!

I think those bigger, lobed ones are just a few days older than the rest.

U think they're all oysters? Some of the stems on these are like stalks! There's a couple vase shaped ones too

From what I can see in the pictures, I'd say they were all oysters. Are they all from one tree/log?

3 trees, same type, all 3 trees within a 20-30 foot span. In my gut I feel like they're all oysters. But the shape is tripping me out

I've grown oysters, (all from the same culture) that exhibit all sorts of morphology, Shape, length of stem, color. Depending on things like temperature, amount of fresh air, light, humidity..... In the woods sometimes the microclimate can change a lot in just a few feet.

looking at picture #5, the underside of the big lobed fruit, You can tell that it looks older and more beat up than some of the others

I was wondering about the older ones, still good to eat? I would assume so. Also, how did growing go for you. I looked it up and seems fairly easy. What do u think

They might not be quite as tasty as the smaller ones but they look fine to eat.
Growing oysters if pretty easy. I'm really enjoying it. I've been growing them on cardboard, in plastic shopping bags, in my kitchen.

Man, that is awesome! Do u have a TEK for the cardboard method? Is that 1 big piece of cardboard a, a bunch, shredded up, etc. did you boil the cardboard, did u start from spores or stem butts?

Not sure if it is the recommended way to go, but it's been working great for me. Just cardboard covered in boiling water in a plastic tub. I put a pot full of hot water on top to keep it submerged. Let it sit for a few hours. Drain it, layer in plastic bag with spawn. I've done it all shredded up into little pieces and mixed with spawn, now I'm doing pieces about 12-16 inches and layering. Tearing cardboard boxes into little pieces was a pain in the ass. I think the layered ones are colonizing faster, but they have all been in different size bags and I eyeballed all the measurements.
edit :Home made grain (oat) spawn

I'm not the greatest at tree identification unfortunately. But it isn't any sort of pine if that helps. It's the grayish trees that always have white patches all over them. With the paper/cardboard style bark. The bark is all one piece. I hope that helps a little...birch? I honestly don't know

Could be grey birch, or probably beech. I find oysters on beech a lot.

Doing this http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21744280 but with soaked cardboard instead of bagged mulch.
