Sleeping while inverted--- (hanging upside down) Dangerous?

So, heres the deal...The only way I feel comfortable sleeping (or am able to sleep) is while suspended or floating in the air-water.  My indoor pool is still being built and getting wet is not pleasing let alone having to be all pruned up and dry skinned in the morning.  So, heres another solution.  I saw this thing on the internet.....it's called an EZ-Up inversion rack...

Well, I think this will be really easy for my feet since the experiemental, painful, aparatus (that actually cut off my circulation) I tried to set up with ropes/belts and hanging bar did not go to well. :thumbdown: Well, I have never slept upside down before....My Question is: Will all that blood going to my head be damaging in any way shape or form if Im inverted for say 9 hours? I know it will pose some level of discomfort but it beats sleeping on a surface...MY main concern is brain damage or something.  Does anybody know?

I thought about that too, it just wouldn't work. but then again when you're drunk you can probably sleep without hanging upside down.

do you really think it would be comfortable hanging upside down?

Its comfortable for me....really comfortable and it just feels secure. Whatwould happen if I just passed out while hanging upsidedown.....Would I wake up before blood started pouring out of my orphises.

You DO NOT want to do this. The body has evolved specific mechanisms to prevent blood from pooling in the extremities from the normal effects of gravity. Mainly, a series of one-way valves in your veins (not sure if they are in arteries). If you sleep upside down you'll cause this to work too well and blood will pool in your torso and head. This could cause your heart to not function properly and might even burst some smaller, delicate capilllaries from the increased blood pressure.

You say this more comfortable for you, but how long have you tried doing this for? I suspect if you tried this for twenty minutes, you'd see this wouldn't be a good idea.

Has anyone slept upside down but stayed on their mattress? For example keeping your legs on your mattress but have your head and/or torso hanging off. Does this count as inversion therapy and can you sleep like this or is it dangerous for long periods of time?

I did this on 8 grams of penis envy aborts that I lemon tek'd.

My dad walked in on me laughing hysterically, half hanging off the bed.
I woke up in the hospital with all kinda tubes and probes sticking inside of me.

Idk, but hanging upside down will definitely increase the blood pressure in your head as there is no mechanism to prevent this.

You could always try exercising more or working hard at physical labor. Makes me sleep like a baby without having to resort to dumb ideas like this.
