To guard patients in a facility with no identifying signage, at the edge of town, is a job of last resort held by a few of my acquaintances.

You are allowed to have weird ideas. They can make you very uncomfortable.

It's not what you do with your mind but what you do with your body that gets you put in psychiatric hold.

(Rules are loose as to grooming and uniforms. You fraternize with the patients. But, they want you to do calisthenics in unison. Yes, really.)

Most of us have vested the fear of the unknown in people who are uninteresting, irl.
