See, now, that's the method that I'd use if I really wanted to try and see if I could capture spirits on film. High speed film and a nice wide aperature in a very long exposure in a very, very dark room.

But then, I'm a lot more methodical about trying to make sure that my paranormal experiences aren't just statistical anomalies or reflections or what-not.

Yep, I do.

First, let me establish this: I've got a strong background in photography, both silver-based and digital, and have been working semi-profesionally for some time now.

They're dust. That's all. It's dust that's close to the camera, caught by the flash of the camera. Notice how you only get these in pictures where the flash was used? Well, that's why.


Technically, a spirit is a concentrated energy field, which physically gathers dust, so when you can visually "see" a spirit, it is the collection of dust around the area which form the actual image, whether it be a floating human form or even a white "orb"

I never knew about the dust thing, good call!
either way he wouldn't have lied to me about his house being haunted.
wouldn't it have had to been extrememly dusty down there for so many orbs to be seen, like i said earlier there were like 50 orbs in each picture and its a nice clean basement which has 2 bedrooms and the computer down there, so it's not like its an old dusty basement used for storage... i guess there's no true way of knowing.

I asked about the digital camera because - as far as i've read - it is more sensible to magnetic fields than normal cameras.
Those magnetics fields might appear as many things, including orbs.

they are spirits, indeed.  i see them even without a camera, but i admit that they are small ones.  definitely not a shroom side effect or some kind of eye prob either, this is real shit, real communication.

That's just dumb. Digital cameras don't photograph magnetic fields -- they image the light falling on their sensors. While strong magnetic fields -could- fuck up a digital camera, they'd have to be very strong fields, and wouldn't produce the kind of effects that are being looked for in an image. After all, you don't see halos or shit around your unshielded stereo speakers or anything when you take a picture of them, either with a digital or a silver based film.

I'm not going to try to discredit anyones theories but orbs out doors, especially with a flash occurs alot with my digi. More so if there is a light fog, you get these little light patches from the flash reflecting back. Sometimes, if its just a really light fog (barely noticeable) you only get a few. A damp place like a graveyard of maybe even a basement might be enough to cause this

I'm certain that's not the reason as I took 3 or 4 in quick(ish) succession and this was the only one to show any anomalies.  This is also why I don't agree with the "dust" theory either.  My room is not a dusty place, if it was, surely this same effect could be observed in at least ONE other picture. 

I'm not saying it's anything supernatural though..

The "white mist" looks nothing at all like a woman. (See the thread: Virgin Mary in the Bank Window).

The following picture had some lenticular clouds (a well-known atmospheric phenomenon) and some incoherent mumbling about UFOs.
