You don't want to mist at all. Even if it will need misting at some point, that would be AFTER the myc colonizes the top coir. You will not be able to judge the conditions until that coir colonizes. For Now just LITFA

My Cake start to fruit i place the lid litte to the side is that correct? I open the lid every day to check for proper surface condition? I belive it's enough air in the box when i watch for it twice a day?

Good morning,

I just started growing 4 months ago so I’m a noob but from my own experience this far………….

I don’t remove lid until I see primordial forming. From the looks of your tub I don’t see primordial or pinning………. Surface conditions should glimmer with water droplets for this to happen. I would say your surface looks a little dry. I would mist and put lid back on until primordial starts showing. Then just open and flip lid upside down. This should let enough FAE to trigger fruiting.

Yes it is OK!

But are you sure it is 100% clean? That would be a lot of eggs in one basket.

Is it a larger plate? The smaller 60's would be stretched pretty thin for that? but the bigger ones is fine.

Be sure to take a Transfer to another plate first unless you already have those going.

That's also a pretty large tub for only 2 cakes(jars). It will be harder to achieve the proper conditions, although will still work.

Yes the mycelium will colonize the coir before mushrooms for from the top.

I should have one more cake joining them soon, for now the holes are taped, the amount of moisture on the sides indicates it's pretty damn humid in there at least.

Great, good to know thanks!

NO - the surface is more than humid enough. dont mist it.
just leave it alone and make sure the lid is not too wide open. more than enough fae as is.
let it do its thing

I basically just need to know if I need to remove the pins that are growing in the jar right now before I do the Dunck n roll or if I'm supposed to leave them on?

Okay. So just dunk and roll as usual correct?

Also just curious I've got quite a few jars. Is it possible to birth them and then put them back in the jars and fill the jars up with waterin order to do the dunk? Or do I need to find a really big pot and try to submerge all of them?

Does the amount of nutrition in an LC effect colonization speed of grain or yield of fruit?

No, However the amount of LC you use can increase or decrease colonization times for grain. More LC faster colonization.

Are bulk to spawn ratios volumetric or by weight? Is it any different in practice? I ask the second question only because it seems to me way easier to weigh things than to do it volumetrically.

By volume. Just dump out the grain and fill the jar up to the same level with a couple light taps on the bottom to get your ratio
