Denatured alcohol is good at cutting through bong funk. I put about a cup of DA and some salt and shake it for a couple minutes. The salt doesn't desolve and acts like a mild abrasive while the alcohol does it's thing. Together they scrub out the inside pretty well.

I did that for many years, works well, but a couple of years back I tried out a number of other cleaning products. The one I linked is the best I've found. I get the blue one with no abrasive stuff because I usually clean smaller pieces. Both are excellent, and you can do a pipe or two, then use the same cleaner in the bong.

I've tried about everything over the years. Alcohol and abrasives is the way to go.

Rubbing alcohol and salt mixture.  It is pretty much “420 cleaner”.

Today I suddenly realized I might get away with using... index markers! Or how they are called. I read multiple names: Page markers, Sticky index tabs, Sticky notes, Book page tabs, Index page markers.

Instead of writing with my permanent marker, I expect I can take the index marker from the jar to the substrate tub. I expect it will saves me a lot of work and standing in weird positions. Like writing and removing writing. The next few weeks will tell whether it will stick. And as I don't have a very high humidity in my 'grow and spawn room', I think they will stay fine. Oh for those who don't know these thingies: only half of it (or so) has a sticky surface, the rest not. So it is easy to take it off.

Damn, I’ll have to try the salt, we’ve been using alcohol and rice.

Kosher salt is a great size in my experience. Fine table salt doesn't scrub as well.

Stocked up on small trays for tent fruiting.  Going to run a bunch of small batch Pan grows this winter.

I'm very considering one.  Just have to get my partner on board with using it for meat and poo.

I've had one of these for years, it was just for food until recently...

But seriously, you want a perfectly cooked steak or chop? This is the way.

24 hour whole brisket? DONE.

Rye prep? DONE.

Poo is just a state of mind, it's all grass.
