Found this "vase" at a flea market. He is 12 inches tall, i got his brother which is just like him but 18 inches tall for 12.99.

The female piece i had was 7/16ths wide and the closest glass bit i could find was 3/8. So i had to file out a little extra, which was the hardest part.

Yea, we used to have those around here, same design and all (before the headshop raids) I guess they are considered "soft glass" and thats why they are so cheap. Don't quite know what soft glass is all about but I have one about twice that large that I got for 25$ and it works great! :thumbup:

Soft glass is easier to work with, and the glass itself cost 1/10th the amount of 'hard glass' or boro (pyrex). Soft glass stays molten longer, making it easier to play with....

Also, you will never see a pipe made out of soft glass, because it will shatter if you put the lighter to it... also, you cannot mix hard/soft glass, cause ithe piece will shatter as soon as it cools....

bongs are able to use soft glass, since they have a hard glass bowl... i myself dont like to see softglass bongs, they all look the same, and i usualy find that people paid way too much for them... but for that cheap, its' alright.

Nice deal! They charge like $40 for that same piece in my local headshop. My last two bongs have been from that company (wicked glass). My main bong is the short and fat one they have out.

Never knew about that soft and hard glass stuff... good to know.

yea, i bet if you kept a fake flower in it, and the bowl toward the corner of a room, when the cops came they wouldnt even think twice. .... but probably not.

I bought a bong JUST like that one in SC.
Its now in my Ex's possesion (can't spell it).
But it looks just like it.

Hope she didn't sell it.
