Drudge is a republican talking point with ears.

He is one of the first people to get fed Grover Norquist's talking points each Wednesday (you'll notice a pattern of his "newest" political stories breaking around noon each Wed). When the right wants to slander someone on the QT, Drudge is there to put up a bogus story with sketchy sources, which can later be retracted and apologized for - so the neocons don't have to get their hands dirty themselves. Unfortunately, by the time it's retracted, Sean Hannity et. al. have already had 2 days with it. And you can almost guarantee that on Wed or Thursday of each week, Hannity will be quoting a "story" off of Drudges site.

On his page at this very minute:
