I'm going to be a fighter

So I'm a member of a certain Jiu jitsu club in my city, and we have a 21 year old who is an amatuer fighter. He was preparing for a fight one day, and I offered to be a dummy. Instead he wanted me to spar with him. I, coming from a purely jiu jitsu (grappling) background surprisingly had the better of him on the feet, connecting with several left hooks with KO potential. After our little fight, and after hearing from other members of the club, they and I concluded that I got the best of him. To me, this means that I am capable of fighting NHB (punching, kicking, grappling, striking on ground, ect.) style. And to get my mom and others who worry about me off my ass, I am going to be an amatuer fighter,and get paid $100 per fight and another $100 if I win. I am 18 and would love to make my fighting a profession. That is all

At $100 a fight, you'd have to fight so much to pay the bills. Still cool though.

im not fighting to pay the bills, I'm fighting as an excuse to not have a job(also because I like to fight). I also need an excuse to spend money.

Get an operation to have lead weights placed surgically in your hands and wrists. It will help.

Congrats dude. I wish I hadn?t quit my karate class as a kid. No regrets, but still it would have been nice.

not many people are really supportive, but I'm the only support I need, although its nice to know people believe in me and what I want to do, blah, blah, blah, the others are worried I'll get my head knocked off.  :lol:

nice man.. jiu jitsu is definitely the skill to have if you want any sort of edge in MMA fighting... also make sure to brush up on your boxing and kung fu skills :yesnod:

who knows.. if you're good you could enter UFC or something.. they get paid pretty well these days win or lose..but a lot more to win.

I wish I knew some martial arts stuff .

A drunk middle-aged guy tried to start something with me on Friday night outside a Mac's store. I just got in my friend's car and we left, but I would've liked to kick his ass. Or at least break his nose.
