Like in Inches.Is a half inch of rain enough?What is the best method of collecting the shrooms while in the field.Paperbag,plasticbag,gallon size ziploc?

Enough rain is dependent on the location, mushrooms, and a bunch of other things. If you want to know if there are mushrooms out there, go look. Please read this for more useful hints.

Never collect mushrooms in plastic bags. They are unable to breathe, so they sweat and bacteria thrive. The result is a good way to get food poisoning. You should always use paper or waxed paper bags. Waxed paper is especially good for wet mushrooms.
