2 different mushroom ID's, not for consumption.

hey all, i know these are nto for eating, nor will i even touch them. However, especially the grey one, they are REALLY cool frewaking muchrooms. I would like to know what they are exactly, i have never seen anything like them.

both were found growing on wood (rotten maple?, too far rotten for me to tell what type of wood) in very moist conditions on almost no light. right beside a creek, under large trees. i beleive maple, alders, cedar, doug fir are the main ones. anyway it is in greater victoria british columbia. the grey ones i beleive were in the summer, adn the white were late winter.

I always thought of the grey one as sort of ghost like. there was only a couple, and they were kinda almost barely see through. enough so that i could see weak light through it. very odd, and didnt have teh classic gill look. it was roughly 1-1.5" tall. the white ones were roughly 2" maybe a little more in height and the caps were roughly the size of a dime. neither were slimy.

Grey ones:

sorry if this is a bad place to post knowingly non magic mushrooms. feel free to delete. also sorry for the crappy pics, it was night when i found the white ones.

thanks for any input,
kada

First one is probably some species of Peziza. Second is probably some species of Marasmius. Both genera have at least a hundred species in them(I'm guessing) so narrowing it down to a species would be pretty futile without a microscope and some chemicals.
