heads up on air circulation
    #2787823 -

when i first started i thought fanning and the humidifier would create enough air circulation but i was wrong.  so i installed a 10" fan inside the terrarium running at the same time as my humidifier and light.  the results before i installed the fan were good-lots of shrooms but when dried out it took a full two finger bag with about 40 muchrooms in it to make an eigth.  with the fan hooked up it took on average 4 mushrooms to make an eigth and they were rock hard and thick.  i think the results speak for themselves...good luck!

I couldn't agree more when it comes to airflow.

I don't know about positive results, but I do know that because of my space constraints, limited airflow has seemed to result in small and stunted shrooms.

Hrmm... I know most of you are dealing with p. cubensis and other psychoactive mushrooms. My continuing question is how closely related are results such as this on gormet or medicinal mushrooms?

edit: obviously comparing strains sharing similar optimal environments.

all things need fresh air to live... if you lived in a box all day would you be able to grow? no.... (dont be assholes saying people dont grow in a day) you need fresh air as do all living things

was the fan just circulating internal air or bring in fresh? I have a coolmist setup and am assuming that the airflow from this when turned on is adequate? wrong?

I guess I have my terminology messed up. I am talking about a Holmes ultrasonic humidifier. I dont really feel a rush of air from its output but there is a fan in the unit base and the mist does have some intention, so I am wondering if this is sufficient airflow?

I stopped fanning my chamber and my cakes fruit up the ass, they actually fruit alot better without any fanning.

Yep, the better the conditions, the better the results!
