I actually find it pretty convenient. Its not to big, it comes with everything you need, except syrnges, and you dont need to fan or mist it. It seems easy enough. The yeilds are great. basically, if you have the money and want it, Buy it!

I have a kit. Bit i cant seem to get my temp's right so it's taking it's sweet time collonizing. I innoculated my rye over 2 weeks ago and have so little growth it's not even worth mentoning. From what i read on the hawk's eye it should be worth it though. 6 Oz dry from one kit. that's well worth the price. But then again i havent seen the results first hand yet.

Strange, I just mixed the rye berries in my lbs. of compost not 10 minutes ago! Everything is so far, so good. 11 days total for the 2 bags of rye berries to completely colonize at 85 F.
Will keep you all posted. I am a little worried about that stuff contaminating, considering there are a bunch of holes in the lids letting anything in!
Time will tell...

I hope someone posts some pics, I look forward to seeing what the avg grower yields under normal circumstances with the kit. I assume most people ordering the kit are just doing it to give them an introduction to grains & compost to ween themselves off of the PF tek.

I have a bag of rye that shows no signs of growth after 2.5 weeks. Innocced under a glove box and 9cc's of ryches cambos in each sac. And one sac looks like wetspot. Thanks for the ripoff ryche. But it will be worth it if it colonises and the yields are what you claim them to be.

I ordered 2 kits. 3 bags are collonizing now and it'a been about 2 and a half weeks. and 2 have wet spots, one isn't collonizing. even if ony 2 work i can still ue the kit. it'll just take a bit longer.

That is a real nice Gulf Coast strain we'll be selling here real soon.
Tom, as I already mentioned this in 2 other threads. Eddie Walker bought a kit the same time you did with the same batch of cambodians and his are doing fine. Its very possilbe your cambodians got frozen during shipping. Why dont you just send me a pm or email instead of complaining in every thread every chance you get. You know I'm an easy going guy and will get you out some new spores... so what is the problem? All this time you have waisted and a simple email or pm would do. PM me your name/addy.
This wet spot thing has me a bit curious. DB was suppose to be adjusting the bags of grain with the right water content for 1 10cc syringe per bag. Meaning he was suppose to be cooking the grain with less water then desired to allow for this. Yet a few ppl have got a wet spot, others are not. Wet spot in grain is usually caused by to much water.
Anyway, I'll talk with him and give him a heads up a few ppl are having problems with wet spot so he can reduce the moisture in the grain even more.

Just tell the Shit King to let the rye steep overnight before sterilizing it. That'll germinate those wet-spot endospores and kill the bastards!

If we do happen to get wet spot, can we just do good ol fashion brown rice jars (or maybe whole grain brown rice) and use that to innoc the compost? If so, how many 1/2pint jars worth should we use?

Ryche I just looked (it has been 3 weeks since innoculation) and one bag smells like sweet sweet bascillius and looks like it too. The other has condensation all over the place and growth the size of a quarter. I think the growth is so slow b/c there is soooooo much water in there. And because of the low spore count (couldn't see any). I am just going to fuck the grain you provided and innoc with my own spawn. Thanks for the crap bags and crap syringes. You allready held up my dung brothers thing with your 2 week late syringes and now 3 more weeks after that. This DB thing has been nothing but a load of crap. I still have faith though.
Can the lousy bags be returned?
The reason there could be too much water is b/c there might have been a pressur difference but that would not be much though. Oh god that stank bag is stinking up my room. Ugguuggggghhhhhhh. I never knew contams could be so expensive.
Some things are just too good to be true.
I am saving the stank sack if you want me to send it to you.
What are you going to do to reimburse the people who have crap stuff? I seriously doubt it was the peoples fault if all they did was innoculate under sterile conditions and YOU added too much water. I have had only one good strain from you ryche and that was the koh samui's thanks for those. But your cambos and B+ suck. Not to mention the $117 box of crap.
What are you going to do about this ryche? You ripped a bunch of people off and didn't even provide a good product. What are you going to do?

Is everyone who bought the kits having this problem? I hope that this isn't the case. It seems like that kit is a great thing, I hope it's not all bogus. Perhaps the kit just needs some tweaking from DB. Good luck tom.

Yes ofcourse the kit looks great. No one would buy it if ryche said that it contams easily. But I will bet that ryche will not even reply to this post again. Easy way to avoid my question. No thanks for the new syringes ryche. I am through with your company. I am self sufficient (not counting spores from the great people here); more like spore pimp free is the choice for me. But with all this bitching I woln't get any refund or exchange from ryche.
