Morel Spore Print Question...

Seeing how Morels are hollow, how would I take a spore print, would I just cut off the bottom part, put the top on an index card and cover it with a glass? like this:

Red = the glass
Grey = the index card
Weird color = the Morel mushroom

just take the morel on a dark (black maybe) piece of paper over the night under a jar. the next day there should be some white\yellow dust around the caps

I never have been successful in printing a morel. Only when I wash them and lay them on a piece of paper towel have I ever had a spore deposit. I have tried several different methods, none worked. Just so you know, the spores come from the pits, not inside the cap.

And try to keep it to one post, especially when it is exactly the same thing.

But lets say you manage to get the print, how would you grow the mushrooms using the print? Syringe just like the special mushrooms? :wink:
