What are you talking about? Who said anything about vaxxed or unvaxxed?

Do you really believe vaccinated folks aren't spreading the disease?

We have something near or above a 70% vax rate in our county. Just had a big outbreak in a nursing home with all vaxxed folks, including staff..


A large part of the economy in this county is tourism. We are a bubbly melting pot of coronavirus sharing and breeding.

If you’re vaxxed who cares if you get covid? It’s a cold. The people that go to the hospitals are unvaxxed

I’m pretty doubtful that the vaccinated are very effective spreaders. I’ve known too many vaccinated people who get exposed (like serious exposures involving sleeping in the same room and having sex) to a vaccinated person with covid without getting infected. I don’t know a single vaccinated person who got covid from another vaccinated person. It appear that the vast majority of infections result from unvaccinated people.

"Long term covid" is a very real thing. We're not even 3 years down this rabbit hole, and even the CDC  has published info on latent effects of covid. They're calling it long-term, but, again, we're not even THREE YEARS into this virus.


Covid will be wreaking havoc on people long after they've been infected.

If we get a variant that’s not in the omicron lineage my opinion may change, but at this point getting seriously ill with covid is a personal choice and there aren’t enough irresponsible people left to cause a big problem. If the unvaccinated want to die from a cold I’m all for it. Fucks given = 0

Aside from one afternoon where I was visiting some European embassies and masks were required, I haven’t worn a mask in three months. I don’t even know where my masks are anymore. I assume they are buried somewhere in the trunk of my car.

Cases have become almost entirely detached from deaths. Yes we are in another wave about the same number of cases (even more probably than delta because most people are testing at home and not reporting) but deaths are at the lowest level of the pandemic. For as long as we are dealing with the omicron lineage, covid is over. Covid could come back if we get hit with another cryptic variant, but as long as the covid going around evolved from omicron, it’s done.  Between monkeypox and covid, the best advice I can give is don’t be sticking any wild rodents up your ass and everyone will be fine

there's plenty of people in the hospital who have been vaccinated in test positive for covid yes. The people in the hospital still suffering from covid pneumonia and related complications are almost always unvaccinated


Like at this point if you didn't get the original two vaccines you are kind of fucked regardless because the vaccines are going to get you sick but covid is also going to get you sick. You should have gotten the vaccines back when it made a lot more sense to get them because covid was the kind of thing that was killing people en masse

I don't think it's quite as bad. There was a while where were coding someone under 45 almost every shift. On an 18 bed unit. Those original variants were nothing to fuck with. I'd rather have to fuck with the current variants unvaccinated then with the previous ones. But actually getting covid is a Gamble. You might not get sick at all or you might get hospitalized for weeks and never recover the function you had when you caught it. If you get the vaccine there's a pretty good chance you're going to feel like you have a cold for a day or two

Well at the beginning there was no acquired  immunity so 100% of the population was vulnerable. Now it’s 10%? A lot fewer vulnerable people, which is why you can have the same level of cases without anywhere near the number of severe outcomes
