Most of us are pretending it's over.  I just got it for the second time and didn't really even hae symptoms.  The Alpha strain FUCKED me up bad.  And I'm a healthy dude.

I also had that slimy cough for a couple weeks

Kids too

Not sick at all, just coughing up some slime a couple times a day

The healthiest, wealthiest, whitest dude I know got it bad and suffered in misery while bed ridden for nearly 2.5 weeks after almost doing him in. 

I also had a relative pass away due to covid complications.  But everyone who’s had it in my immediate family either seemed like they had a mild cold or moderate flu at worst.

Covid is weird.

First time he got it a year ago or so.
Since then he’s become somewhat racist but only toward China pop.
I think you can guess his thoughts as to the virus’s origins. Great guy overall, highly educated too, so idk I guess he just believes they’re responsible. .  From his pov their gov did nearly kill him though.

Some of it is.  The mass shooting that happened at that church in California just the other day was a case of Asian on Asian violence though; and more specifically - apparently Chinese on Taiwanese hatred.

Because we’re dumb ignorant creatures that started off even dumber than we are now.  But in terms of surviving without modernity propping us all up now we are actually worse off than before…so in some ways we are getting dumber & dumber.  Out of sync with the natural world.

It’s a long yet instant road to enlightenment but some think we took a wrong turn somewhere along the way and there’s no way back in this kalpa.  :nonono:

why do people hate black people or white people? They take a bunch of traits they donn't like, generalize it arbitrarily to a group and because of this end up in an echo chamber of seeing their prejudices justified, subtly filtering out what  doesnt fit their bigotry and amplifying and modifying that which seeme like it does, and drawuing further conclusions on the path of radicalization.

I've never had a covid yet, I go to meetings where nobody where's a mask

But I usually wear a mask in the grocery store and stuff

I've also wondered around the city 6 times in the last 6 monthd

There was a guy here in Dallas just like a few days ago or a week ago or something who walked into a Korean hair salon and opened fire. Fortunately he didn't kill any of them (not for lack of trying).

His girlfriend said he was involved in an accident with an Asian man a while back, his hatred grew from there until eventually (allegedly) he began having paranoid delusions about Asians out "to get him" and that the Asian mob was after him (seems legit).

There were two other drive-by shootings at Asian run businesses in the area, and there is some belief that the same guy was behind them, because the vehicle description in both incidents fit his car.

Definitely a silent wave going on right now. I just spent 1.5 hours looking for a store that wasn’t sold out of rapid tests.

Still feeling fine. It’s been 3.5 days since my extended exposure began.
