my guidlines for dealing with cows

dont go around uncastrated males, no balls probably wont give u a problem
dont sneak up on a cow, startles them and they could attack or run away (stampede)
dont cut cows off from the heard, panics some
dont enter fields with cows that are acting agressive, just cause its not a bull doesnt mean it wont kick your ass
dont enter fields with cows that get noisey when you approach and continue to keep it up, coyotes make the heard noisey too and thats why farmers keep an ear and a rifle out.

I really wouldn't suggest trespassing on someone's property to collect shrooms, At LEAST ask first (they might be understanding). Its like me going on your property and stealing your garden gnomes, would you like that? (lol not that I would, just trying to make an example here ;p)

Thanks for posting that very much Distrancia. I've often wondered what sort of vision/range cows were working with and how to use pasture space more safely (or conveniently). Very good post.

theres one feild i check sometimes with a single hornery cow.
it has a white crecent on its forehead and i call it "sailor moo" when i get too close it starts hopping up and down and stamping then charges.
one time when she almost got me i tore my pants apart diving over a fence and i was totally commando. so i had to walk a few klicks across a sundail face. and i live in the middle of town :P

lol funny shit, the cows behind my house are brown with the white mark on their forehead. I noticed i put a few shreds in my jeans stepping over the barbed wire fence like a dumbass. So far I have still only found one cubie in the field and some P. sphicttrinus, and something that looks like a white chantrelle maybe I don't know. Tons of turds everywhere I find more golf balls than shrooms but, it's all good, I have like 4 or 5 spore prints off of the one cubie I did find.
