no, we can hope to never see that day but for the record i would not do either- since we were informed about this being a free world back in 2020 i been squatting some arable real estate near a clean water source under some old ass cherry trees in a broken van having another one of those spiritual awakenings, a sort of perennial blossoming, at its root a return to the concept of Oneness; the recognition & rememberance that all are One.

another thing we were supposed to have learned in the 20 was the importance of self sufficiency; the ability to sustain both ones self and ones inalienable rights for 2 weeks to 2 years at a time. empty store shelves, no emergency responders etc.  any able person unprepared for disaster or immediate call to arms is a threat to their community and potentially the entire species. water. produce. shelter. salt. defense. emergency medicines. protein sources. one more ass to wipe. we dont look after our neighbors they will fucking eat us or kill us for our stuff. it sounds like you are projecting your own fantasy about some invasion of the usa by russia(?) i meant the world.
meanwhile, every nation/government/law is temporary and ukraine appears to be dying and they should have known better. something every civilian can learn from this is to assassinate all of their politicians until they get one who can appreciate the importance of tactical weapons in the domicile and a generally well-armed populace.

It appears that retreating Russian troops engaged in the mass execution of the residents of a town outside of Kyiv. This is going to change the conversation about what’s happening in Ukraine. People executed in the streets in front of their homes. Unbelievable.

And I'm seeing people here on the Shroomery openly support Ukrainian neo-nazi's who have raped, murdered, and pillaged as they pleased for 8 years straight while calling for the mass genocide of every living and breathing Russian person, acting like they aren't themselves massive hypocrites influenced by hatred for a country for no other reason than that the mainstream media told them to.

As for not thinking about things too hard, you are at the top of the list. But you're proud of your ignorance, so I'll let you stay in this state of being - since it is, apparently, what you want.

Sooner or later people like yourself will learn the hard way. Cold hard reality will be your teacher, not me. My only advice is this: don't reject the lesson when it comes. You'll just end up stuck in the negative cycle of total ignorance for eternity.

Do you think it is a coincidence that Biden takes office and next thing you know the Ukrainian army gets a green-light to wage an offensive on Donbass, provoking a Russian reaction?

At any rate, I have to constantly remind myself that it is ignorance and lies that are the enemy, not any particular individual. True, I am constantly disappointed that so many people in the world choose to be ignorant and choose to believe every ridiculous lie they're told. But the sheep-like behavior of so many is ultimately a consequence of the mainstream media's influence, their gullibility, and the difficulty involved with facing the actual real, painful truth, not because they are inherently bad people. The sanity of most people would break if they had to face the cold hard truth of how they were manipulated into turning on their own fellows by a handful of elites that control the flow of information.

There are very, very few people in the world today that actually really value truth. The few who do are practically alone, isolated and out of place in a world which is headed towards its own destruction, even as they try in vain to warn against it.

Incorrect. It was only a few months after Biden took office that Ukraine began beating the wardrums and visibly preparing for an offensive operation against Donbass.

If you will remember (although I doubt you were paying attention) Russia carried out large-scale military exercises on Ukraine's border in 2021 over the summertime, or around then. This was a direct response to the very visible military preparations Ukraine was making to invade Donbass at the time.

It was only because of these exercises, and Russia's threats to use force, that the offensive was called off. Unfortunately, this was only temporary to give Ukraine more time to prepare. Their new date for the offensive on Donbass was early March of this year. Russia, realizing that Ukraine would not back down despite knowing they would intervene to defend Donbass, decided to strike first, several weeks before the Ukrainian military's planned offensive, so that they would have the initiative.

Would this have happened under Trump? Maybe, but I do know one thing. Trump would *not* have sought to use the crisis in Ukraine to cause trouble with Russia like Biden's team of war-criminal Neocons, full of lovely people like Victoria Nuland and Tony Blinken, are doing as we speak. It should also be noted that Victoria Nuland was herself directly involved with orchestrating the original 2014 coup. And so, we have come full circle.

When you understand that the proxy war in Ukraine is not about Ukraine, but about two competing world ideologies that cannot co-exist (a unipolar vs. multipolar world order) then you would also understand why the US Neocons and elites felt like they had no choice but to immediately trigger a war in Ukraine as fast as they could. Their desired unipolar world order, where they basically just dominate the whole planet unquestioningly, is dying. In order to regain dominance, war is necessary. The sanctions you're seeing on Russia are the intended result. They think that the sanctions will hurt the multi-polar world that is emerging. They are wrong of course, but they still have to try - from their warped and deluded perspective.

Yes they should've followed the Russian example for how to deal with breakaway regions - there are some great examples in the post-soviet era such as Chechnya.
