I like people citing peer reviewed articles from all those pay for publish journals out there, like those articles are 1)actually peer reviewed and 2) worth more than a pile of human feces.

I think all the societal stress and change has been pushing more people who used to be borderline deeper into the decompensated zone. New mental illness diagnosis have definitely increased since before the pandemic. People with preexisiting mental health conditions are also getting less care than they were before and I assume that's making them a crazier population. I'm sure there's lots of other data coming out with all this new crazy to do research on. Covid itself is associated with new onset of lots of neurological and psychiatric conditions, and lots of people were barely sane before the end of 2019. I'm pretty sure the data overwhelming support the idea that there are more crazy people now than there were before the pandemic.

I did the great reset once.  I had just made it to save point in FFIV.  After saving, the game prompted me to hold down the reset button while turning off the power so as to not corrupt the save file.  Pretty wild.

I'd say that his behaviors have become more extreme versions of what they used to be.

Everyone is just trying to deal with the increasing sense of helplessness they are feeling in the most effective way they have learned how.

Almost nobody knows how to grow food or hunt or make decent tools or make a fire or build a shelter. I've tried my hand at growing food, but beyond that I am one of those people. There's a limit to how much you can outsource actually having skills.

Such a society is inherently a house of cards. The most elaborate house of cards ever made.

Imagine that that house of cards is poised to fall at any moment, and that the only thing keeping it (seemingly) held up is a few hundred million people holding the foundation level cards in place and never letting go of them, while a different few hundred million keep making their own unnecessary additions to the Tower- just tall enough to reach Heaven, they claim.

When I beg any of you able and willing to become 'professional' (ie, legitimately skilled) healers, I have no ulterior motive than that I'm getting tired of holding the foundation card up, and I need a break. I know (that you know) that it's less comfortable to support than  to be supported, but taking turns supporting the House's foundation is better than everything crashing at once, which appears to be the singular alternative. You cannot restore the balance to a house of cards by removing pieces from it one by one.

* Most commonly within a proposition, which is an arrangement of symbols made interpretable through consistency of use that also has the property of being "potentially true or false."

I take dictates only from Natural Law/Truth. 

I actually seek them out.

A Will that becomes perfectly aligned with Laws/Truths maximizes its 'degrees of freedom'. Many would describe that Will as "the most Powerful". Either way you look at it, it seems nonsensical- paradoxical, perhaps- that the path to "the most freedom" is complete subjugation of the Will to the Law. The Paradox is the Path (?)

Many texts have tried to capture Laws and Truths worthy of that subjugation, through the consistent and patterned use of symbols. What you are now reading is one such text.

All Texts fail to capture "the Whole Truth".

Every once in a while, a Truth/Law is created out of the way text relates to whatever accompanies it (ie, the con*-Text)

I was at JC Penny yesterday and this is the new sign they have posted on their door.

What does this mean?  Does the local government require businesses to recommend a mask?

A "required recommendation"?  Of the dozen people in the huge store, 2 people were maskless.

Last Monday my vaccinated boosted son was required by a business to wear a mask and gloves.

Is the science still out on wearing gloves?  How many years do we have to wait?

Or are we just being extra extra safe just in case it maybe might possibly reduce "risk"?

I don't think there's any reason to wear gloves during normal public stuff. That's just a business making a choice on what it wants. Masks prevent transmission and are effective enough to justify recommendations and requirements. A required recommendation has got to be one of those fucked up American things. Countries that aren't sue happy probably get by perfectly fine with either requirements or recommendations. It's only a matter of time before we have to start dealing with required requirements and recommended recommendations.
