Not really this has been building for years when you people let this psychopath walk all over us. He invaded Georgia in like 2008. I said we need immediate sanctions unilateral action and a binding UN resolution you people did nothing. Syira happened they were shaking dead babies asking where I'd america I said hey we need boots on the ground immediately. Again nothing. The stole Crimea in horseshittery going back to the tzars vs tartar and installed all thier missiles. You guys did nothing. They meddled in the 2016 election and probably blackmailing trump which is why he pulled out all the stops let the guy walk all over us emboldened Iran and slaughtered our Kurdish allies by leaving them high and dry. Again why did we let this piece of shit walk all over us?

Chief is a prime example of a warmonger hell bent on death. Every country is not the worlds police force.  Who are we to kill off our 20 year old population and handicap ourselves just to free a country that wouldn't do shit for us if we were being invaded.  Typical globalist propaganda, we should be isolationist when it comes to war.

Here's an idea, go sign up for the military.  Then you can put "your boots" "on the ground".

Vaccinated people can still spread COVID.  However, a negative COVID test isn't acceptable to go places but a card saying you're vaccinated is.  Because it's about control and not preventing the spread of COVID.  .

"You can't come in here unless you're vaccinated for COVID.  I don't care about a COVID test."  Which means they don't care if the vaccinated DO have COVID.

I'd rather be around someone with a negative COVID test and indifferent to their vaccine status than someone who is vaccinated yet indifferent to if they currently have COVID or not.

You're all missing the real conspiracy. This thread is a Putinesque work of art in terms of moderation. It's a trap for lots of the covid nonsense spamming and outrage that has been littering the site. Posters are baited into this thread to wear each other out with futile bickering, non sequiturs, and shit posting while the moderation sits back and occasionally watches. It's an imperfect solution, but it slows the flood of garbage into other places, and it produces just enough communal butthurt to stay amusing.

It's not a black and white situation.

Part of the reason that some covid variants can move through parts of the vaccinated population is because we still have a large pool of unvaccinated people for them to hang out and mutate in. Vaccines aren't perfect, but they still work better than no vaccine. And they'd work better still if more people had just gotten them asap.

I don't care who I'm around. I'm vaccinated and boosted, and I think I got a nasty case of covid very early anyhow (before widespread testing). I just don't want to be the guy that indirectly killed somebody's grandmother because I carried a new strain from one gathering to another. If I'm in a room full of vaccinated people, those odds drop dramatically, versus being in a room full of unvaccinated incubators.

Tests are not 100% reliable, and not practical to administer at the rate that would be needed to allow things to flow in any reasonable way. I have seen places that do accept negative tests in lieu of vax cards, though.

Initially, the public health experts said "Ok, no mask needed if you're vaccinated." Then they realized that people would just lie. So we had general masking. And now, proof of vaccination required. Of course it's about control. So are laws against shitting in public.

That said, I've basically resigned myself to living with another recurring global illness alongside the flu and the common cold. Because, despite all the other ways that we're controlled and monitored in a complex global society, basic public health measures in the midst of a crisis are just a bridge too far for a lot of people.

I have a feeling that the uproar about having to do a nasal swab anytime you go into a business would be louder than the one presently caused b  asking for a vaccination card

I'm saying if the care was about reducing the spread of COVID then a negative test within 24 hours of an event ought to be acceptable.  Showing you've been tested recently takes the same amount of time as showing your papers.  It becomes accepted that people who have COVID will attend events as long as they are vaccinated, and negative test results are irrelevant, then the issue isn't about COVID at all.

You can't sit there and say "We're trying to reduce the spread of COVID" while actively denying people who aren't sick access to society while allowing people who are sick access as long as they took the shot.  If all they have to do is prove they took the shot, they are not demonstrating a higher level of proof of not being sick than someone who shows they took a test that says they aren't sick.
