Just curious if anyone knows of someone who has been publicly advocating for the vaccine and got vaccinated and then died?

I know the opposite has happened quite a few times, of those who were against the vaccine and made their views known publicly, and then got Covid and died.

Serious adverse effects from vaccination are probably too rare for that to be likely, and most of those adverse effects are treatable. I've only met one person that might have had a serious complication caused by the vaccination, and it was only a possible connection that was serious but manageable. She was irritated that she couldn't get a second dose because of it, and it pissed her off that other people were being jackasses and putting her health at further risk. Most people who are smart enough to understand why it's a good idea for people to get the vaccine are also smart enough not to volunteer to be a poster child for harmfully stupid misinformation, so I doubt you'll see advocates switching sides because of rare adverse effects. It's way easier for antivaxxers to be a poster child for bad outcomes, so they hog up the whole spot light for that stuff. They're good at being public fools if nothing else. There are probably going to be new adverse effects from vaccination that get discovered in small numbers of people at some point, and it'll be nice if they get some attention so they could be addressed responsibly (i.e. by the medical community and not by anti-public-health misinformation campaigns). That's what post market surveillance is for. It looks for stuff that doesn't show up in trials, and then things get reassessed. Covid is still outcompeting the vaccines in both short term and long term bad outcomes though, and new fucked up long term damage from even mild covid infections is still getting discovered and published.

I guess you'd expect at least some coincidental deaths since the vaccine does not make you invulnerable to death.
