Hella sick dude!

Just finished this up earlier in the week, a bottle of Yamazaki 12 Japanese whiskey from Suntory.


   


This was the last of the bottles I picked up from Costco, who had been bringing them in on a limited basis for years.  When I started buying them there, they were $50 a pop.  Last time I bought they were up to $85.  Now that I just finished my last drop, I go online to find out this shit is sold out everywhere or being marked up / auctioned for hundreds of dollars a bottle.  Fucking hell man, this IS a good whisky, but now that the word is out, it's going for totally ridonkulous prices.

Went into my local well supplied liquor house yesterday to inquire if they could special order it but they said it's impossible, noting that someone bought up all the wholesale supply as soon as the positive articles started coming out about this "affordable excellent Japanese whiskey" and now no one has it.  He said he recently saw a bottle go for $500.

It's good, but it ain't that good.

I did put a bid in on an auction site for $130... which is still stupid expensive, but I have really grown to like this whisky and want it back in my well!  Probably won't win the auction anyway, and I'm not bidding higher than that.
