PBS Show on Ecstacy

There's a show on right now on PBS talking about E. I only watched a few minutes so far but it already seems like bullshit. They have an "expert" saying that kids who take it are much more likely to have sex. I don't know about you guys but whenever I take it it just destroys my sex drive. I expected better from PBS. Let's see what else they say...

I think the type of kids who take ecstacy are more likely to have sex period, drugs or not. It's the ppl, not what's in them...unless it's alcohol.

Kids who drink are way more likely to have sex when they're drunk than kids on ecstacy are.

I never said I felt personally attacked. I just don't like when misinformation is spread.

And yes Phishgrrl I too like to cuddle on E but sex is damn near impossible.

But it's not really "misinformation."  EVeryhting has to be taken with a grain of salt and further researched.

SOME people are more likely to engage in casual encounters when on various drugs than others. Just because YOU don't, well, that doesn't mean that others don't.

And "some" girls are a lil' different, I think, than fellas on drugs because we don't have to "get it up" to have sex, ya know? Some inexperienced folk may have impaired judgement, etc etc etc....

(I didn't mean to sound like a bitch in my first post here, kosmic. Just sounmds like you are making just as big a generalization as PBS is, ya know?  I liek to play "devil's advocate" on occasion, heh. No offense intended. :smile: )



And yeah, I just like to sit and have someone play with my titties, lol! :blush:

Yes I did kinda figure that sex for girls is a little easier than for guys when rolling. The show focused on this one teen's history of drug abuse. The show wasn't horribly skewed but I expected more out of PBS because it really was your basic "Just say no" mentallity. They tried to show how his drug use was the root of all his problems but the show didn't explore why he chose to abuse these drugs except simply because he wanted to get high. HIs parents were never really mentioned. Maybe they play a role in his downfall. And they had him talk to the camera a lot as if he was an expert saying how he often got pills with heroin in them. While it's possible, I doubt that's true. My biggest gripe though is just the fact that they picked this dumb kid to be the posterchild for drug use. And they literally said "Just say no" at the conclusion of the show. I say "Just say know." But the general population can't know from watching a show like this.

Yeah... it's sad to know that there's plenty of people out there just eating up that PBS program and fueling the "war on drugs" with it. :shake:
