Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated than that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.

J sings it perfect but I'd like to hear Plant's cover. I just enjoy that mellow tune.

sooooo...
has anybody ever heard bonnie dobson's original version?

(i've got her 2 vinyl LPs... RCA's "elvis strings" sorta muddy some of the tracks up, imho...)

(guess it doesn't matter anyway...)

mmm, that reminds me, the song can be easily played on a DADDAD-tuned guitar; now, will my voice reach up to that high D or not ?)

Never heard the original version, but I think it's just a poem....didn't the dead write the music to it? I'm sure it would be easy to look up online. Too busy right now though!

bonnie dobson wrote the song & the music...
somebody (maybe tim rose?) changed like 2 words & got co-writing credit, but bonnie did the song her way first & it's her song, man...

somebody invited her to a dead concert & backstage, but she was sorta intimidated by the rock-n-roll megascene dealio (she was more of a folkie, & i think she ended up teaching school in canada or something...)

"chicago seen through rainy windows
always makes me want to cry..."

(her voice sorta like judy collins, maybe?)
