I wonder about the "MDX" label.  Are the marketing people trying to tap the young drug culture market?  Or is it purely coinscidental?  Probably the latter, very few people from the mountain dew demographic know "MDMA" let alone MDX, and Mountain Dew Xtreme is no surprise.

Read what the little * means where it says 192mg/kg.

So if the lethal dose is on the low end (1 gram) thats about 23 cans of Mountain Dew. Erowid does not list their source for the info, and through quick googling I've seen estimates on the order of 17-20.

Either way it's a lot of soda, almost to much to drink.

http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caffeine/

At a body weight of 150, it's estimated at 136 cans of MD to kill.

I was really talking more about energy drinks that contain 200+mg of caffeine per drink, not mountain dew. If you drink 5 energy drinks with 200mg caffeine per drink, that puts you right at 1000mg. Then you take into account the other part of their "energy blend" and you could easily have a blood pressure through the roof/heart attack combo.

Just be careful with the energy drinks, that's all I'm saying

Monster are the only energy drinks I find that actually seem to give me energy as the other guy said. It actually tastes decent too. Although it seems like they're kinda hard to find.

Really? I can find Monster just about everywhere here. Every grocery story and gas station caries them. Publix sells them by the case (24 cans).

I love Monsters, but I've laid off them lately. After recently  adjusting my Adderal dosage to 20mg, I find that I don't need an energy drink. If I do drink one after taking an Adderal I get jittery, which I know isn't a good thing... so I just don't drink them any more

In the midst of all the caffeine, I find it interesting monster energy drinks don't even list the amount of caffeine in them:

http://monster.sponsorhouse.com/product/energy.php

wtf is 2500 mg of "energy blend"?

I can't believe they can get away with that labeling.
