Physical media collection is a good feeling.  You don’t have to pay for internet or tv if you don’t want as well.  It’s nice to have something in your hand too.  Then there’s the other type of person who wants to cut every cord and physical attribute in the name of technology.  It’s good to have a balance

Agreed. Our mountain cabin has a dvd/vhs combo, and there is probably 500 movies or more out there, it's pretty neat to pick them out and watch them with no distractions like phones and comps.

1. i dont get a raging boner for HD, 4K, 1080, etc.

2. i was alive before dvds existed, so therefore i have been accumulating them for decades.

3. high definition video doesn't make a movie good. sorry Marvel. sorry, not sorry.

It’s a different feeling for sure than television or (Most) streaming.  When I’m watching tv or to a slightly lesser extent Netflix I enjoy it sometimes but I feel like there is so much ‘cultural’ or ‘social’ programming it’s like I’m being beamed thoughts and values that are not my own I have to resist.

I love having a physical collection. I still buy CDs. I kinda look at downloading as a sort of trial version. Because if i like it I'm gonna buy it

i backed up a huge collection, also have backed up blu rays

i once lost a multi-TB collection of movies + music to a harddrive crash... and its now gone forever. This was a lot of rare stuff that took a lot of work to collect...

lets get the pics flowing again.  these are my family and i doing our annual cider press where grandma makes homemade doughnuts glazed in the sugars of haven

and the summery one is me my bro and my step mom at the water park





ETA: they are all straight edge as fuck so it is more just a family photo set.  Its nice being able to show photos of me with my family again because in the past i was a junkie so there were not allot of nice pictures.

they definitely dont do drugs so for any employers that may see these they arent degenerates like me
