As of late witch house has been my absolute favorite genre.

If you’re unfamiliar with the genre check out this album by Sidewalks and Skeletons, it’s what got me into witch house.



These two mixes are also very good introductions to a lot of different names in the genre.

I had never heard of it before, but spent some time listening to that first album.

It's pretty good. Reminds me of early nine inch nails mixed with shoegaze. I'm not a big fan of the percussion used or the screechy vocals (but I never am a fan of vocals like that, even in metal), but I can definitely see the appeal. It also reminds me slightly of something you'd hear in hotline miami.

Checking out Sidewalks and Skeletons. Interesting. It kinda reminds me of Phutureprimitive mixed with Dark Ambient Techno. My ex-GF called it "Vampire music" especially the "Kinetic" album.

Well for one, trap beats did not exist 30 years ago. Especially not in industrial/ goth music.

I added the term dark ambient to avoid conversations like these. Lol
