Kindness is so attractive... * 4
    #26111274 -

Tonight I found an ad on Gumtree for a free item which is something that I collect so I excitedly sent a message thru the app then called the seller to say I was interested. I'm not sure what I said exactly that caused the seller to be so compassionate (read further down) but she left the item outside the house for me to pick up and she also said she left some food as well as she's moving house and seemed to want to get rid of stuff.

I got to her house and found the item outside just as she said it would be and I took the bag of food as well so that it wouldn't go to waste.

Looking through the bag of food later, I noticed a snack bar with a $20 note wrapped around it. Feeling a bit confused, I texted her saying I found money with the food and that if she provides me with her banking details I'd send the money back to her in the morning. She texted back saying the money is for me.

I think she thinks I'm homeless or something and something I said might have given that wrong impression. She didn't want the money back and I said I'd help her with her house moving or anything else she needs assistance with but she said she's ok and didn't need help.

So here I am with $20 and feeling like there really are angels living here on Earth. I told her I'm gonna pay it forward. Do something nice for someone.

Does anyone else find kindness to be an attractive trait? I never saw this woman and only spoke to her for a short time on the phone. This mysterious woman set off something in my heart that is difficult to put into words...

That is nice.  Pay it forward.  Go out and get a drink or a burger and leave a tip.

The lady probably thought you were helping her.  What was the free item?  Cause moving sucks!

Yes. Kindness is a beautiful trait. The world would be a lot better if we all practiced it more often.

If kindness is so attractive...

Why do nice ugly people have such a hard time getting laid?

I know that 99% of all people are pretty awful. I’m not giving the benefit of doubt to anyone

Attractiveness doesn't translate into sex. Maybe we are talking about necessary but not sufficient conditions.

Attractiveness certainly does translate to sex, for all species of life

being nice can get you ahead in life as can playing the victim depending on the company. some people see right thru that shit.
but being nice never got any ugly person laid, unless it was with someone as ugly or uglier than them.

Maybe we should consider all aspects of attractiveness. The physical and not physical.

The logic behind this argument seems to indicate that in couples with one unattractive partner the ugly one is never nice to the other.

I don't buy this reasoning.

theres lots of variables when it comes to balancing out relationships like that..money, humor, social prowess. I'm not saying personality doesnt play a role , just that kindness alone never got anybody laid. I would even say most girls under 35 yrs want absolutely nothing to do with nice guys, they see it as a weakness

There are plenty of examples to the contrary.

How often do you see couples where one partner is disproportionately uglier than the other?

The younger generation seems different than the ladies of mine.  Even then there were ladies that got educated in higher education.

Lot's of good girls know that sex could bring about kids.  So they look for good mates that can rear children.  Not all girls only drug and fuck.  Stay away from those.

Often enough to discount generalizations based solely on physical appearance.

I used to see it a good amount in hawaii when we went to the resort beaches. gorgeous girl with a nerd. you always knew that the guy was loaded, a tech millionaire or something.
and theres always cases  where the girl has totally let herself go after a ring or baby. you'll find that anywhere

Intelligence will get an ugly person laid way faster than kindness.

It’s easier to talk your way into

The ugly people with attractive partners usually have money (which has nothing to do with kindness).

It’s pretty rare as far as I can tell. Definitely the exception to the rule. Are you ugly?

Niceness alone doesn't get you laid, cuz it's generally the minimum standard most people expect. Sex isn't a participation  trophy, you don't get it for simply not being a dickhead.

Sharing your wealth with your partner is a form of kindness. Would someone like to be with a very wealthy partner who doesn't share a single penny?

Is my attractiveness or lack thereof relevant to the establishment of logical arguments?
