Acqusition of Mimosa?

Forgive me if this is the wrong post. I've been wanting to have some experoences with DMT, however after seeing the Hamiltons Pharmacopea where one unfortunate gentleman described being pretty unfairly accused and sentence to serious jail time for simply having mimosa root imported through foreign customs. Id like to know if anyone has any up to date experience with this? How safe is it really? Can the trusted sponsors be trusted to safely import to the U.S. or is it entirely a crap-shoot?

Gaiana sends in packaging disguised as "reptile bedding" not the freshest quality I have ever had, but that could be due in part to seasonality or FIFO supply standards. Point is, it works and I have ordered as recently as one year ago

It's a gray area. The bark itself is not illegal until used for extraction. Still legal to use as a dye, reptile bedding, or soap ingredient. I've had cactus powder seized in customs before which is in the same gray area. In the chance that your mimosa is seized, they would do nothing. At most send you a letter saying shame on you. My cactus powder sat in customs for about 3 months. When the vendor re-sent the package, customs must have matched it to the previous shipment, cuz they were taped to each other with green "Inspected by US Customs" tape. So yea, not any downsides really and a chance you get two for one if the vendor guarantees your satisfaction.

Here's a list of all the things U.S. Customs seizes on the border. TONS OF STUFF. They simply do not have the time to follow up and charge every instance with a crime of importing illegal goods. They catch it and forfeit it or it goes through. (no dye, soap, mimosa, powder, cactus, bark, bedding appears in the list)

Seized on 06/26/2019; At the port of BROWNSVILLE; BAGS OF CHEETOS
PUFFS; 4; EA; Valued at $8.00; ... ffs they must have been hungry.

So what would you make of the fact the dude in the show got his package watched and the shipment of mimosa root charged to him as dmt? Is that just a freak thing? Also do you know of any vendors who have luck selling mimosa root?

I watched the show after receiving my package.. seems like it might just be bad luck. Plus, mimosa root bark is what you buy and what we are referencing

Could have been a sting, the vendor may have been the DEA. Maybe he bought it off some fed on a forum and talked about using it for DMT. Maybe he bought a whole bale of bark. Maybe they were already investigating the person for shipping other things, or drug related activity. Maybe they were investigating the vendor and needed to charge a customer so they could use them to testify. Maybe it was a different country with more strict customs. Maybe he's just an actor.

It's the only time I've heard it happen, out of the presumably thousands of packages that are shipped into the country.

Exactly this. We dont know the specifics behind this case. The war on drugs is nothing more than a waste of time and money and needlessly puts decent people behind bars.

However, if youre purchasing from a trusted vendor you shouldnt have any problems. Apart from that just be careful what you say and who you talk to online, common sense shit. I know ive definitely ordered questionable things online, but made sure i did my best for privacy in terms of internet access and payments methods

Right that all makes sense. I suppose there are plenty of fucky scenarios that could result in those consequences. It does feel better to know that things like that happening are incredibly rare occur when someone gets a hair up their ass. On that note though besides the obvious commen sense stuff like keeping your mouth shut. What sorts of precautions do you take to place an order? Vpn and a visa/cryptocurrency?

Those are good precautions but likely unnecessary. I pay with my real card and ship it to my home. If they decide they want to seize it, whatever. There's no way they can prove I knew what it contained or intended to use it for. The chance of it being caught is so low that the vendors almost all account for those losses and will just ship you a new pack. All you need to worry about is finding a trustworthy vendor, IMO. It's not allowed to ask for vendors; unfortunately that's how vendors get associated with illegal use of their products. I know a couple vendors that won't sell to you if you mention anything about extracting. But I know at least 3 shroomery sponsors that sell MHRB so start there and you should have no problems.

I got mine from a cloth shop that also sold natural dyes. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it though.

Acacia confusa works just as well, unless you just have to have mimosa.
