I just took the mimosa like an hour after the syrian rue seeds..

I got this really potent bark and only needed about 3.5 grams of it to get to a nice comfortable, visual trip..

I think I could have taken about another 1.75 grams of mimosa comfortably though...

Oral DMT is somehting totally different than smoked..

When we ate it, all we did was lay in bed in a dark room..

I tried standing a couple times, and once I got up, I was just like whoa, now what? Then layed back down:D

Ill never forget that experience.....

MInD BLOWING!

u take the mimosa by just eating it?  does it taste like crap?

i wish there was a way to make it taste good, most people purge, i don't recommend eating the bark

Here's an option 4 ya-

Pharmahuasca in a Pill

Another prep option that is not so nauseous is steeping (mhrb) in very hot water with some real lime juice and straining ( repeat 3x) and reduce the total amount to a couple of fluid ounces. There are lots of teks out there. Eat some plain white rice about an hour before. this should help with nausea.

I ordered the IAS tincture and the first time I tried it, with mhrb extract it was only a one hour long trip.  A few months later I tried it again and doubled the dose of tincture and added more DMT and nothing happened.  I suspect that the tincture was weak to begin with and it lost potency as time went on.

I use the IAS 5x tincture regularly. I purchased 10 bottles about 20 months ago. That stuff still works great for me. I believe, I could be mistaken though, that if you have it stored in a dark place at a reasonable room temperature the shelf life is a very long time. Many years? I regularly use two full droppers 30 minutes prior and two more at mimosa brew or pharmahuasca pill ingestion. It works like a charm every time. I get, on average, 2 - 2+ hours of peak voyaging.

I have a lot of respect for Ice House because of his Pharmahuasca in a Pill tek.  Thanks dude.  I don't know why there isn't more interest in this tek.  I think that next time I do it I will acidify the Everclear.

Yeah, I kept my IAS tincture properly stored and took it like you.  Maybe I got a weak batch because it worked once and didn't the second time.  Anyway I just took some pure harmala alkaloids from a certain auction website and that worked like a charm.

MIIMOSA STUDY SHOWS MIMOSA CAN CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS IN GOATS!

I found this along time ago and posted it.

I think mimosa is becoming more popular, so I will post it here and other places too...

Make sure to do some studying up on these things you are ingesting & what changes, if any, need to be made to your diet. Both before you take it, and also for a few days after. Don't just trust what some random person posts on a message board saying "oh you'll be fine". Here is some info from an Ayahuasca website...

Normally DMT - as found in plants such as Mimosa hostilis, Psychotria viridis and Phalaris Arundinacea - is not effective when ingested orally. This is because it is broken down (inhibited) by Monoamine oxydase (MAO). MAO is an important enzyme that breaks down certain chemical compounds such as drugs and poisons. MAOI's or MAO-inhibitors interfere with the action of the MAO enzyme and stop the breakdown of chemical compounds such as DMT, making it effective when ingested orally. The term ayahuasca is often used for any plant combination consisting of a DMT containing plant and an MAOI. MAOI's must be used with great caution because otherwise they can turn otherwise harmless foods into poisonous substances. The results can be dangerous: headaches, nausea, high blood pressure, even unconsciousness and death. Therefore, in shamanic traditions a special diet or fasting is observed in the days or hours before ayahuasca is ingested. It is advisable to follow this tradition.

So, MAOI's are:

       Syrian rue / Peganum harmala)
       Ayahuasca / Banisteriopsis caapi
       Passionflower (weak)
       Yohimbe (weak)
       certain anti-depressives.

Below is a list of substances that you should NOT take 12 hours before and 12 hours after taking a strong MAO-inhibitor.

Very dangerous:

antidepressants containing Selective Serotonine Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI's) such as the herb Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) and pills such as paroxetine (Seroxat), fluoxetine (Prozac), citalopram (Cipramil), fluvoxamine (Fevarin) and sertraline (Zoloft)
       sleeping-pills
       anaesthetics
       migraine medicines
       allergy medicines
       over the counter cough medicines
       cocaine
       amphetamines (speed)
       MDMA (XTC)
mescaline cacti (peyote and san pedro)
       alcohol
       ephedra/ephedrine
       pseudoephedrine
       macromerine
       phentermine

May cause headaches or sickness:

cultured dairy products (buttermilk, yogurt, and sour cream)
all aged/mature cheese (exception: cottage cheese, cream cheese)
dry and fermented sausage (bologna, salami, pepperoni, corned beef, and liver)
all meat, fish and eggs which are not fresh
pickled herring and salted dried fish
       meat extracts
       yeast extracts/brewer's yeast (Marmite)
       sauerkraut
fruits (bananas, avocados, canned figs, raisins, red plums, pine-apple, raspberries)
       nuts (peanuts)
broad beans and pods (lima, fava beans, lentils, snow peas, and soy beans)
       soy sauce
LSA (morning glory and baby hawaiian woodrose seeds)
MDA related herbs (nutmeg, sweet flag)
       chocolate
caffeine (coffee, tea, cola, guarana, energy drinks)
       ginseng
       St. Johns wort
nasal sprays (Vicks Sinex, Prevalin or Otrivin)
       other MAO-inhibitors.

I got seretonin syndrom from combining yohimbe and cactus.

I looked at the link briefly, the study was done with Mimosa tenuiflora not Mimosa hostilis. Even if it were Mimosa hostilis it wouldn't discourage me because

1. I am already born,

2. I am sterile and can't have kids,

    and most importantly,

3. I'm not a goat.

Thanks for the heads up though.

LOL

Mimosa tenuiflora and Mimosa hostilis are one and the same. Mimosa tenuiflora is actually the original botanical name for it so that's usually what I use but sometimes people get confused thinking it's different than Mimosa hostilis but it's not.

a friend would like to know if anyone's just eaten straight Jurema (with MAOI),
and 2) if eating straight crushed up syrian rue is an option.

he says he that making a tea won't be an easy option because hes having another housemate move in and doesn't want them to obviously freak out.

The brew is ready (it will have been steeping for three weeks as of tomorrow) but we're still trying to arrange a time that will work for everyone who wants to be involved. It will probably be later this week or early next week.

Also what exactly is Jurema specifically anyway? I don't believe it was fully cleared up in this thread.

Super old thread, but to answer a question, "Jurema Preta" is the Brazilian name for mimosa hostilis, usually used in the context of Ayahausca.
