A Song for the Mood * 3
    #26050230 -

How are you feeling?

Express yourself with a song that speaks to your current emotions.

We all have emotions time to time we must let out, here’s a thread for that.

Last night I needed a place to scream and beat my fists, so alas, I’ve made this thread.

I’ll start us off.

Emilie Autumn - Thank God I’m Pretty

Quote:
Thank God I'm pretty
The occasional free drink
I never asked for
The occasional admission
To a seedy little bar
Invitation to a strangers car
I'm blessed
With the ability to rend
A grown man toung-tied
Which only means
That when its dark outside
I have to run and hide
Can't look behind me
Thank God I'm pretty
Thank God I'm pretty
Evey skill I ever have
Will be in question
Every ill that I must suffer
Clearly brought on by myself
Though the cops would come
For someone else
I'm blessed
I'm truly privaleged
To look this good
Without clothes on
Which only means
That when I sing
Your jerking off
And when I'm gone
You won't remember
Thank God I'm pretty
Thank you God
Oh Lord
Thank you God
Oh oh
and when a gaggle of faces
Appears around me
I'ts lucky I hate
To be taken seriosly
I think my ego would fall
Right through the cracks
In the floor
If I couldn't count on men
To slap my ass anymore
I know my destiny such
That I'm all stocking and curl
So everybody thinks
That I'm a fucking suicide girl
Ohho
thank God I'm pretty
The occasional champane
I never asked for
The occasional admission
To a seedy little bar
Invitation to a strangers car
I'm blessed
With the ability to rend
A grown man tongue-tied
Which only means
That when it's dark outside
I have to run and hide
Can't look behind me
Thank God I'm pretty

You're right being a woman must be awful  that's why droves of men become girls

Woe is you with your good looks and your fat bank account.

I'm not saying there are no drawbacks to being a girl, there are cons to being a guy as well.

--------------------
Only hope can give rise to the emotion we call despair. But it is nearly impossible for a man to try to live without hope, so I guess that leaves Man no choice but to walk around with despair as his companion.

I feel like I want to wave a white flag to the whole of existence and chill out, smoke some weed and such.

And dance, like the people in this video

I also want to live in an apartment in the tallest skyscraper in the world. Take a bath while smoking a fatty. And listen to Akon.

 I often wish I were born a woman. I mean I don't think of myself as feminine or a woman or anything, but if life were a video game i definitely would've chosen to be female at character selection.

I don't have a song in mind for my mood right now. I don't know any "I'm tired and sore and I just want to be horizontal and not move" songs.

--------------------
With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way.
I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today.
Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear.
I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear.

You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being
With your face all made up, living on a screen. Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline

Quote:
[Verse 1]
I'm going out tonight
I'm feelin' alright
Gonna let it all hang out
Wanna make some noise
Really raise my voice
Yeah, I wanna scream and shout
No inhibitions
Make no conditions
Get a little outta line
I ain't gonna act politically correct
I only wanna have a good time

[Pre-Chorus]
The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun and...

[Chorus]
Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy
Forget I'm a lady
Men's shirts, short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild
Yeah, doin' it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action
Feel the attraction
Color my hair, do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free
Yeah, to feel the way I feel
Man! I feel like a woman!

[Verse 2]
The girls need a break
Tonight we're gonna take
The chance to get out on the town
We don't need romance
We only wanna dance
We're gonna let our hair hang down

[Pre-Chorus]
The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun and...

[Chorus]
Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy
Forget I'm a lady
Men's shirts, short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild
Yeah, doin' it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action
Feel the attraction
Color my hair, do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free
Yeah, to feel the way I feel
Man! I feel like a woman!

Quote:
The title and thus the lyrics of the song were based on Twain's experience while working at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario to provide for her brothers and sisters after their parents died in a car crash. Twain recalls seeing some drag performers working at the resort and credits them as the source of her inspiration.

Quote:
My, my, cold-hearted child, tell me how you feel
Just a blade in the grass, a spoke unto the wheel
Oh, my, my, cold-hearted child, tell me where it's all gone
All the luster of your bones, those arms that held you strong

Oh, I've been worryin' that my time is a little unclear
I've been worryin' that I'm losing the ones I hold dear
I've been worryin' that we all live our lives in the confines of fear

Oh, my, my, cold-hearted child, tell me how you feel
Just a grain in the morning air, dark shadow on the hill
Oh, my, my, cold-hearted child, tell me where it all falls
All this apathy you feel will make a fool of us all

Oh, I've been worryin' that my time is a little unclear
I've been worryin' that I'm losing the ones I hold dear
I've been worryin' that we all live our lives in the confines of fear

Oh, I will become what I deserve
Oh, I will become what I deserve
Oh, I will become what I deserve
Oh, I will become what I deserve

I've been worryin', I've been worryin',
I will become what I deserve
I've been worryin',
My time is a little unclear
I will become what I deserve

I've been worryin', I've been worryin'
That my time is a little unclear
I've been worryin', I've been worryin'
That I'm losing the ones I hold dear
I've been worryin', I've been worryin'
That we all live our lives in the confines of fear

Feel like going out to do something , it's raining though

Looking for a blaze buddy to join me on a nature trail , for a walk or bike ride , while smoking blunts

It would be fun to smoke until you can't smoke no more

No song
