Dunk before top fruiting in jar? * 1

Birthing my first 1/2 pint cake and since the rest are far behind trying to fruit in the jar.  After washing should I dunk and if so for how long before putting back in the jar?  And should verm topping be dry or field condition?  Thanks!

You can dunk if you want to and how long really doesn't matter. As long as its over an hour and less than a day. You could put the verm on dry or wet. If you put it on dry you'd just have to mist it more.
Either way its getting misted to give it water and its in a jar so it's not going to lose as much moisture either.

I have a tek about it in my links. It's pretty simple put bag on cake in a jar. Mist it when needed. Get mushrooms. And I don't bother dunking since I can just water it.

So when you top-fruit a PF cake, you "water" it like you would a plant, just pour water over the top?

Or mist or whatever gets it water.

I may have to top fruit one of my jars because the cake will not come out of the jar, no matter how much i smack the bottom of it :nonono:
