Starship Troopers * 1

So I read the book as a kid, but haven't read or watched it in years. Awhile back I came across an older animated Starship Troopers movie, and they just released another one in 2017 (pretty sure the Dub just came out)

Anyways apparently these animated movies are the 4th and 5th films in the series :strokebeard: I thought the newest Mars one was pretty good but watched the 4th while trimming and didn't pay too much attention.

Just started re watching the original movie since it has been so long.

I gotta read those books. I love how the movie blended military propaganda with sci fi military action. So cool. One of my favorite movies for sure.

I still remember going to the movies with my friends without really knowing what movie I was going to see.

And then the bugs started shredding people, and spaceships, and guns and I was like :eek: and then  :awesomenod:

It's definitely some great Orwellian sci fi in many ways, lots of relevant concepts.

According to the wiki page there has been a lot of debate about if Starship troopers was promoting militarism and fascism which I find surprising since it always seemed like more of a mockery of war in many ways.

Apparently the movie partially satirized the book:
