Ambiguity leaves room for both doubt and suspicion. If there's no suspicion of a wrongdoing, then there's no need to leave a reasonable doubt about it. Most people here are seasoned enough to read between the lines, and they know that others can do the same with ease. The goal here isn't to have a plan to avoid being punished when caught/suspected; The goal is to make it clear that there's nothing to suspect because the community self-polices with integrity.

I'd advise you to be clearer in what you say and mean in the future. If you feel the need to use ambiguity to hint at what you mean, then your meaning will be suspect to others. However, if you want some advise on growing shiitakes, which are way better when you grow them in your back yard, then you should clearly state what you mean so that others can help you more effectively. It would be a damn shame not to be able to participate in forums due to a misunderstanding.

It was summer, i work away, i just decided to focus my intrest towards cactii. There was a gap of about 3 months since i initially enquired about prints in the market place which successfully traded for hence i had no need for any additional prints.

Out of nowhere i get an ambiguous msg from someone offering prints of a non descript nature, so replied in an equally non descript manner.

Please read my above posts not just the last one, i did not ask for illegal drugs.

I give permission to whoever cares to post the entire transcripts on here. To many 'chinese whispers' going on..

As for ambiguity, even the other person wasnt sure exactly which type i was reffering to so that in itself proves my case.

Is it 'reading between the lines' or is it jumping to a conclusion that fits your suspicion?

And also i should mention for those who dont believe i could have possibly been talking about edibles. "The only prints i have fir trade are morels"- i said that.

Pretty sure Morels are considered an edible are they not bohdisatta?

I understand that you want to speak in an ambiguous way about illicit activities in order to shore up against any potential legal blowback. But understand that no one here is looking to "entrap" you. Long-time cultivators are not going to try to bamboozle you in any way

Have the humility to accept that you were in the wrong in this situation. A person offered you free spores. It is a kind and generous thing to do. It doesn't matter if you want to grow them or not, common courtesy should tell you that being offered free things is an act of generosity and should be answered with graciousness

It's not a complicated situation. This thread should not have gone on for as long as it has. Plus, spore prints can last a while if stored correctly. Even if you can't grow at the moment, you would have been smart to accept the offer

The ban was unjustified in my opinion.

The indescretion occured and was let through.

After some name calling and other rule breaking posts at the start of this thread, a ban was issued.

Out of ego.

The fact i didnt contest the ban, didnt make a puppet account, didnt even visit this place as a guest for the entire time even though i had just been made homeless, was and still am living in my car, lost my job, fell into a debilitating depression with no one to talk to.. pretty sure i had paychosis for a while there and no help from my doctor either. I just suffered through it.

My understanding is this website only runs because of its ability to prove harm reduction via "trusted identifiers" eliminating accidental ingestion of toxic mushrooms thus saving lives.

How is denying someone access to the physical and mental wellbeing forum harm reduction?
How is denying someone access to the trusted identifiers of wild mushrooms harm reduction?

Everything else is just me correcting errors.

Words get added, which changes the story slightly which gives a more uneven account which influences the next persons interpretation which has the flow on effect of making me out to be a bad person.

I am not a bad person.

I just hope someone in the future reads this and doesnt make the same mistake i did..

It reduces the harm caused by leo coming in here and shutting the place down for everyone..

Just let it go man, whether right or wrong we’re all a little smarter in how we know we should conduct ourselves.  Carry on, do your thing... you know how it goes.

Seconded. It may have been honest mistakes and honest misunderstandings for everyone involved. Stranger things have happened. For what it's worth, I'm sorry if you were wronged, and I personally trust you to do your best to be a responsible member of the community. Upon review of this thread, it seems to me that you're looking for some understanding and fair thinking rather than looking for a way to avoid a punishment, which has already passed. The pursuit of justice is near and dear to my heart, so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one. We're all human, and we all make mistakes, and that includes the mods as well as the posters. I'm sorry if I've jumped to conclusions myself, even if I didn't explicitly post them. Thanks for making the effort you put forth in this thread. We're all stronger for it, as Amanita pointed out.


BTW, that fridge pic is awesome. I'm damn tempted to ask for some of those actual mushrooms myself (morels just to make the context perfectly clear :thumbup:)... but I'll resist.... barely. Anyway, welcome to the community, man. I'm going to have wet dreams about that fridge. Thank you for that, and happy posting.
